im actually really happy I read this thread, im a v6 lover, cant get over the sound seriously.... Vr6's and 350z drive me crazy. And there is basically not many cars at all that are made v6 turbo for whatever reason. I seriously have to go test drive one of these, with a tune, striaght pipes and intake this things nuts! im watching youtube vids now.

i tried the logical explanation route of power to weight, him being governed at whatever speed, etc. etc. he just doesnt know cars and thinks because his car was 45 grand 5 years ago that its clearly superior haha idk if he ever doesnt puss out ill try and film it.. BTW to derek, I also have a white with a lowrise, and just ordered H&R spring for it yesterday, looks like sex my man

rule#1 never underestimate any car if you're serious about winning.
rule#2 give it everything you got so there is absolutely no excuse.. that way when he says it was a traction issue, tune is off or car isn't running right you can be sure to tell him that even if it was running right there is no way in hell he could have reduced a bus length to a win..
film it so we can all have a laugh like we did with the balt vs the scion tc.

Its seems like there is a large group of people on this forum that will only race if they know they are going to win...
Internals will hold forever. Its the same V6 family as the common 3.6 LY7 found in many GM applications. The block has displacement variances from 2.8L to 4L. The 2.8L has the smallest bore and was built for turbo charged applications.
My comparison had nothing to do with comparing a modified car to a stock one. that's kinda the point in the first place. My friend has no respect at all for my car, and he's extremely full of himself. My whole point is, my car would more than likely take his stock for stock with relative ease, and add to that I have full bolt-ons and am tuned... This thread was just started for feedback on whether or not I should embarrass him or toy with him. I know what his car has, what it runs, etc etc and I also know it will never see a modification because my friend isn't really a "car" guy, if he was he wouldn't be running his mouth because he would know what is gonna happen when he does decide to run me. Just thought it would be good conversation about how a little cobalt 4 banger that I paid 16k for will rape fest a 45k SAAB "luxury sedan" that my buddy is so high on. Either way, if he was modified I would have respect for him, as I do anybody that puts money into modifying their car for performance, stance whatever they want, I just hate the cockiness he has, hes an otherwise good friend.

Hell yeah.. the h&rs are awesome for these cars, great drop plus decent ride quality

My point was to compare apples to apples. Its one thing to go around bragging you can beat stock cars with a tuned a modified one. Its another thing to race a tuned and modified car with another tuned and modified car.
