275N Michigan, Silver SS/SC
So last night just before 9pm a car comes halling behind me on 275 north in michigan. It is dark so I have no clue what it is but I can tell its not the police. I am already doing 80 and he tries to pass, as soon as I see him get over to pass I down shift and go WOT until about 140mph (top of 4th gear) leaving him a good amount behind but still see he is not doing too bad with keeping up. So knowing the cops usually sit near where I'm going I get over and slow down quite quickly because I realize I'm already an idiot in the first place and don't need to go to jail. He slowed down quite a bit as well when I did but was still going like 95mph to my now 80mph. So he then passes and sure enough its a silver SS/SC!
But I'm not really here for a kill story as I am more here to see if you are on the boards and say Hi. Nice ride, hope to see you around and be safe (the safe part goes out to both of us for our dangerous shinannigans).

Not to hijack a thread, but 8cd03gro, I was curious about your mustang. I understand its a V6, I had no idea they upped it from the 3.8 . My buddies got a 3.8, and he is all over he mustang forums, hes only got intake and exhaust for the engine mods, and 100 shot of spray, ran a 14.8 . People keep telling him that its way to much nitrous for stock internals which I agree. What d you think?

not necessarily. the essex block (the 3.8) is actually extremely strong. there are a couple people running damn near 500 at the wheels on with the stock block (one of the turbo guys runs low 11's...there is a vid on streetfire). the tranny is the weak point on the 3.8's and they aren't very quick stock which kinda sucks, but if it is properly tuned your friend should be fine. i dono about his driving tho! 14.8 on spray is kinda sad...not sure what year your buddy has with the 3.8, but there are some 4.0 drivers hitting 14's stock and almost all the rest are very low 15's.
