3 Kills At Once

me and my cousins were driving back to jersey from the poconos when we decided to have a little fun on route 80. I have a 07 ss/sc stock and my cousins cars were an 07 gti (CAI and Downpipe) 02 Audi a6 4.2 (cat back and drop in filter) and 06 a4 3.2 (drop in filter) we started at a 60 mph roll and gunned it. We were mostly neck and neck until all of there cars needed to shift to 4th gear and my cobalt was still pushing 3rd and thats when it jumped out in front and never looked back. I love and im getting it stage 2'd but I have a question is anyone else out there spinning thier tires uncontrollably off the line because my whole second gear spins when i power shift out of first?

2nd gear cannot spin in a stock cobalt. at the 6500 rpm redline the start of 2nd is a dog. what youre describing isnt normal. nonetheless nice kills.

you sure its not clutch slip rather than tire spin? 1-2 shift with not letting of the gas enough will get clutch slip very bad.

i have new winter tires and even if the pavement is dry, when its cold out i could gun it in second and my tires will spin all through.

when i needed new tires i could spin the tires in second especially when they were cold, or the psi was to high in them (fkn american tire co.)

I would get some bad wheel hop but no real spin on a hard shift to second on good tires in my SS/SC. But when my tires were bald it would spin second all day long.

If you mash the gas and powershift throught the gears you can probably spin much further than just 2 gears.. Jesus man.. There is NO need to powershift from 1st to 2nd in a stock car with no traction mods as its just gonna spin and leave you sittin still Baby 1st on the brink of tire spin, then WOT 2nd .

Thats FTW
