if you're stock, and the z is. you will lose.

the nismo package comes in different stages. s tune, r tune, z tune.
brembo brakes are not apart of any nismo package.

im a nissan guy at heart.

GTI's are worthless. they are slow, even mod for mod, compared to the ss s/c

I wouldnt say that entirely when it comes to the fact they are turbo and in the long run have more potential.

But on a better note their turbo looks like a hairdryer.....

to go faster than us, they still need to swap out the turbo. that means we can too.. you would own them badly if you had hahns turbo kit.

I've never lost to a gti. even modded ones with "40 hp chips"("not enough, bitch".. is what i thought to myself..) <--

not that im trying to say my car is fast, i bought it for the gas, its "quick", and chicks seem to like it. i mostly hang around and watch people with really fast cars race, like the modded evos and SC cobras

perhaps. we shall see!

people who run for fun are good people. others who bitch and moan need to be kicked.

there is a certain silver gti in ohio now that traps 122 on pump gas

Yep not even close my buddies bone stock completely unmodded 350Z ran a 13.6 at like 109mph at Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Tx when he went to try out for Pinks :All Out last year. Don't think theres a single stock SS/SC in the entire world that broke 13's yet is there?

The site i always go to gives these for the 1/4 mile times....
M.T. = motor trends professional driver & the C&D is car and drivers professional driver.
2003 Nissan 350z 5.4 14.1
2004 Nissan 350z Roadster 5.7 14.3
2004 Nissan 350Z 5.3 13.77 (M.T. Mar '04)
2005 Nissan 350Z 35th Anniversary Edition 6 Speed 5.8 14.3 (C&D Apr '05)

The 2004 is the only one that seems decent for the price tag. other then the new one.

Ive got stg 2 and airbox mod.... when i raced the 350.... It looked stock to me, the driver didnt look any older then 21. and we went from a roll. I blew by him and i wasnt suprised that i did. The reason i wasnt suprised is i just watched him race an rt magnum and he only pulled like a car on him at most. the rt magnum is only rated at a 14.5 from car and driver.

all and all i dont think it seems unrealistic for a stg 2 cobalt that is a suppose 13.6 or 13.7 take a car which is a supposive mid-low 14.

Probably not for a stg 2 like we have all agreed upon. But this si from teh OP's sig...

2007 SS/SC
G85
Stock

There isnt a chance in hell that beat a 350Z unless the Z was already ragged to hell or the driver was ******* around with him.

He's STOCK. Read more carefully...the argument here is that a stock Cobalt SS/SC CANNOT take a stock 350z. A stage 2 with bolt ons is a completely different story. I like it how you guys pull the slowest recorded times for the Z and the fastest recorded times for the Cobalt. There was no change in the engine from an 03' to and 04'. 13.77 looks more accurate.

There are too many variables to compare year to year anyway, like different drivers, air temperature, humidity, the condition of the tires, how broken in the engine is, the amount of gas in the fuel tank, the weight of the driver, ETC...

I'm just sick of seeing these outrageous claims from stock Cobalts...Dude our car isn't THAT fast.

So you're telling me if you drove a minivan and a sports car you wouldn't feel the difference? Damn, you should've saved yourself some money and bought a civic instead
