350z, turbo honda
So I was over in the Slovak Republic this weekend. Flew over because I heard they had a nice museum. It was fun. I decided to fly the Cobalt with me(private jumbo jet). Why not?
So after the museum, I ran across this 350z who was mostly stock (intake/exhaust). I've seen him once before. He travels as much as I do. We decided to set up a race and ran once from a dig. We found a nice long empty road (not too hard in the Slovak Republic) and lined up. I had a passenger so she did the 3 honks. On the third honk I took off by about a carlength. He gained very little until third gear when he finally reeled me in. Very very close race actually. I was happy. By the time we shut down he had a bumper ahead of me. I definitely don't mind losing a race against a 350z. Especially when it's that close.
The next night, I drove out and found this honda. It was a 90's honda with a d15 and a turbo. He wanted to race so we went out to set up a nice dig.
He didn't show up. We went back, a little pissed, and asked him wtf? he said he "didn't know the way" (NO way he could have followed us, right?) Ok. so it's time to go to bed so we told him if he's not scared, to line up with us at a light on the way out. He followed, we lined up, and, there's no nice way to say this, I murdered him. We raced a few times. first time, I launched hard. Big mistake. I couldn't tell if he was actually racing at all. Ok. next time, I wait. I hear him take off, let him get traction, then leave. Ni dice. I still pass him like he's standing still. Ok. Another run. I'm going to wait. The guy swerves into my lane! I think he did that on purpose. I was just sitting there, so nothing happened, but had I moved, I would have hit him. bastard. So I wait until he's 2 cars out and I can hear his turbo spool. I take off and pass him like nothing.
I love when people spend their money on slow cars just to still be slow.
By no means do I think my car is fast. I lost to a mostly stock 350z. But I have to say, these honda guys out by me....in the Slovak Republic...are slowwwwwwww. even the turbo ones.
pretty paintings in the museum tho.

Yep 99% of them this way can't even go fast enough to get out of there own way, Mostly kids that do not have 2 cents to there name its the 1% you have to watch out for like the guy who runs all motor 11's and beats twin turbo mustangs at 4,400 ft elevation then drives it home. He has a dollar or two in it though lol.

One guy I know out here has a b18 turbo integra. He had it tuned and was so proud cuz he was beating some of the same people I was beating. He came out and finally challenged me and wasn't terribly slow. He definitely didn't keep up with me, but I actually had to try.
The ones I feel bad for are the subarus out here. It's pretty much like: if you want to be fast, you gotta beat a WRX. The bad thing about it is that there are only about 2-3 of them that are crazy fast. The rest are barely modded at all(intake/exhaust/tune).

I have a 2.7 and 60's sitting in the back seat tho..waiting to be installed.hehehe can't wait.
I think the dyno I went to read low. I put down 213hp and 195tq.
Edit: I should mention though, that I'm at 4,400+ elev.

Good runs OP
I second that... The D series motors are the worst things honda ever engineered I swear. I swapped one with a b18 in a del sol... Damn d series.

I gotta ask. How do you guys fare against EVOs? I am usually right next to them. I think if I could race for a mile I'd beat them.
Usually it's a matter of not having as good of a launch, or starting from 40mph and not having enough power. Argh! I would really love to have a run from a 20 roll, 50 roll, or please god please from a DIG!!!

I've seen a d15 honda with a 350 shot whipping all over modded M3's and blown mustangs. That guy certainly isn't racing anywhere I've been recently though.
