I was watching a couple of vids and it made me wonder, so I dug up mine and checked...

My average time from a 40mph roll to the top of 3rd gear (appx 115 mph at 7200rpms) is just about 10.5 sec every time. What does that compare to? Is that parameter ever measured in magazine style performace tests? I know they used to do 40-60 or 50-70 accel tests, just wondering.

Also, if you have any vids of your car doing the same speed runs, please compare.

im slow in 3rd gear. i have a problem with heat for some reason. my bud has temps of about 140 with the same exact mods as me but i always hit 180 for some reason.

 

So your time was similar, but you stopped at 6850 rpms and started from a higher roll... interesting. Thanks though, thats exactly what I hope to see from people.

No, just thinking out loud. Seeing the same time over a shorter speed spread, means I was moving quite a bit quicker, thats all.

So about 14 secs with powershifting and a rolling start... That was before your current mods though. Good representation of the absolute quickest you could get out of a stockish car though. Thanks.

Damn, you guys are lucky, takes me 18 sec to do 75-110 in my LS And the speedo in my mustang only reads to 85mph and gets buried in no time so idk with it haha. God i wish i had an ss!

Too rich for my blood, i don't like having much of a car payment otherwise i would have bought an ss/tc already . If everything keeps going like it is though, and i can get a management position at work after i graduate high school, i should be making 3 times what i do now and if thats the case i will go pick up a new ss/tc hehehe.
