nope thats my best time in that car with bald tires. but i wouldn't call it a track. It's races that are held at qualcom stadium where where chargers play. They set up 2 1/8 mile tracks in the parking lot with no real track prep. There an 8.3 is good for atleast 7.7 at a real track.

I don't think you'll pick up .6 in the 1/8 by going to a real track though, .6 is a **** load to pick up in the 1/8. I've 60' .3 slower than normal and let off once (spinning) and only went .5 slower in the 1/8. I honestly think you would pick around .3 which is still pretty damn good.
(WHAT I THINK YOU'D RUN) 8.0 = 12.4-12.6 @ 113ish in the 1/4
7.7 = 11.9-12.1 @ 116ish in the 1/4
I don't think he can be beat a Z06 either, especially from a roll which is where Z06s shine at. I was just saying the times you are posting aren't really what the every day joe runs in that car.

so what makes u think an lsj that traps 115 cant beat a stock c5 z06 that traps 112???

My point was a 12 second Cobalt doesn't run/look like a 12 second Vette. You can hear or see when a Cobalt will run 12's because it will not look or sound stock to someone in the know and will be driven like it waas stolen. Where as a 12 second Vette is quieter than a Mustang GT and will appear to run 12's with little effort. Not to mention a C5 Z06 and C6 Z51 will do better than 112mph. Getting a high trap in one of these is the easy part it's a matching ET thats tricky.
The other point I was trying to make is that beating one car because they had a bad run or other issues does not stack up to beat them all. Obviously if a Cobalt runs 11.7 or better it will beat a C5 Z06 technicalities aside.

i know that..but down here, with a pretty damn decent driver, it runs 12.4.12.8 stock and traps around 112ish, I trap around 115ish now give a or take 1 (depending on weather conditions, but if i came up north were these z06's trap 116-118 id trap damn near 119 in the north, THAT is the point um trying to get across to smokinss, he doesnt understand the weather issues we have down here, compared to up north where these z06's are trapping that high

I've seen that place on TV where they race. It looked kind of cool but it would also be kind of scary too.

Too rich for my blood, i don't like having much of a car payment otherwise i would have bought an ss/tc already . If everything keeps going like it is though, and i can get a management position at work after i graduate high school, i should be making 3 times what i do now and if thats the case i will go pick up a new ss/tc hehehe.

yeah that was my problem nobody wanted to pay off my balt except for the stealership so i went with the TC cuz the vette brand new, guy told me 843 a month
