Revhigh is mildly delusional and drew is just a little fanboi. Area I'm sure you have a well built car but on a big track like Laguna Seca or Watkins Glen your advantages get a lot smaller a lot quicker.
Since when is WG and LS a big track?

Since it was compared to a parking lot with cones and a 50 mph speed limit.

And these middle age balding men race a 1/4 mile on a sunday and get huge heads about how awesome their cars must be. Take em to a real track and find out where they are on the totem pole.

Lots of people in my motor club are over 35.... and they drive all sorts for cars.

Seriosuly though, lets see you handle around the cones..... you might as well put a plow on the front to sweep em away ...

The only problem I have seen in the pits was a 5.0 driver having a rage...

Too much power, I'd just melt the rear tires. If I got a set of tires it might do better, but 50mph speed limit isn't exactly working towards the strength of the car. Personally I think auto-x is for teens who don't have fast cars.

Just my opinion though.

Or people who can't afford track days...just like 1/4 mile guys.

30 bucks versus 450-1000 bucks

As long as they don't get huge heads and go around saying "put said car on a REAL track with turns" referring to a parking lot with cones. If you're just going out to enjoy yourself then I'm sure it's a lot of fun, but it is in no way a representation of how well a car handles all around, it's a representation of how well a car handles below 50mph around cones.

And you cant compare it to 1/4 mile racing.

It's usually a good start for those wishing to get their feet wet with course racing. Its a good spot to meet on a sunday morning have a coffee and burn some tire..... Track days are where its at for me though, there's a solid bunch of guys I go with.... good times. Yeah I am on course to spend close to 2500$ - 3000$ tracking my car and taking courses this year. But hell I can afford it, I bought a cobalt...

Slow. my car has never seen an auto-x. most likely never will. that would be the truth. the road course i race on is Heartland park. In topeka kansas.

www.hpt.com for reference.

so trying to say i just auto-x is a very blind statement and the farthest thing from the truth

You do realize that with his 8K rev limit 3rd gear has a useable range of 50-125 mph.

I don't really care what he has to be honest. We obviously live in seperate worlds, my car is modded with 1/4 mile and power in mind, his is modded with a road course in mind. If I modded for a road course I might care more about his setup.

Honestly I do alot worst in Auto-X than I do on road courses, Auto-X is great for improving your reaction time, and accident avoidance. On a road course you can memorize the track and speeds to enter/exit turns. (Depending on debris/road conditions.) Personally road racing is more enjoyable for me, but autox is great for someone who doesn't want to spend 300+ a weekend to road race.

Both take alot of skill. Going to head to head with different cars on the track makes road racing a bit more difficult. Because sometimes you never know the skill level of people around you.

Yea the last thing id want to do is be on a track with a "Tarded" GTO driver who doesnt know what phrases like throttle lift oversteer, heel toe shifting, or apex mean

It would be like the first time playing grand turismo when you plowed into that turn after the straight

I wouldn't wanna be on a road course with a tarded Cobalt driver who read on a forum that his SS/TC is **** around corners so now hes a certified pro.

Im definetly not a pro but i was heel toeing long before your porky RWD australian grand prix ever was marketed.

and to set the record straight

Pretty much all the threads youve started and most the posts you have here go something like this

Cobalts cant hang with the GTOs....

thats like an AMS worked VR4 owner coming on your GTO forum and telling everyone that the GTOs aint got **** on DSMS. 11's haha try 8's

That is near textbook definition of "tarded"
