Im perfectly fine with that. Finishing 3rd out of 25 cars last week was good enough for me. My first top 3 ever.

GTO's are not limited to anything, you really should get out of the Cobalt circle jerk more often. You sound like a giddy 17 yr old fanboi.
In the 1/8th maybe... The fastest Cobalt is the ZZP turbo 2.4 as far as I know and it bearly squeeked an 11 second pass. I need to see proof of said "9 second" Cobalt.
And none of these race team Cobalt shells either. A street car that is registered and insured by a private owner.

Depending on the course, I would say GTO pulls you in both "areas"... lol LSJ's just dont have the ability to transition, and get out of a corner properly...basically just handle... also the brakes fade, and you soak up. By the 3rd lap your back with the Yaris's... 
and the lnf is special because?
I'd need to see you beat it, to believe it. Maybe 1 lap while you still have 100% brakes and no soak. So yeah, you 'may'' take the first lap against the mighty modded ls2. However, I cant see you leading the charge after 5 laps at my local track with a stock lsj suspension, brakes ... the heat soak sucks too. But still, anything is possible.

it doesn't heat soak near as bad as you would think
Then your all set. If you can get that LSJ to hook through the transition of an S and get it in and out of the turns ok, GTO's will be in your rearview. My stock suspension on the lsj killed me at auto x.... s turns etc... That was before 3 racing school sessions though. I have got a lot better at throwing the tc into corners now. I can toss the **** end out now perfectly on command, heel toe etc. Well worth the $ and I have my competition license now too.
Despite the wicked sound of the LS2 that was at our track.. it only laid beatings on the back stretch....You would have the down low tq to get out of the corners just fine on one.

i have a very good suspension guy behind me on my personal build on this car.
