I don't use "ghey" so i am already one step above you in life, and an s197 gt would rape the living **** out of your car from a dig, but you still wouldn't give it any respect. It's kinda funny how alot of you guys give respect to an rsx-s when my car is actually just as fast if not faster stock, but because you have rwd envy or something, you just can't give any respect to a car that costs less and is a bit slower... i guess you guys deserve 0 respect from the srt-4 owners because it is faster and cheaper huh?
Now when did I ever say I could take a GT? I just said you should have bought one. Are reading between the lines again? BTW, like I have said in other Mustang threads, I like the new Rustang GT's. I do not know why people would buy a V6 unless it is to save gas. Since you plan to mod the **** out of your car, gas must not be a concern for you?

The reason people but the V6 isn't because they do better on gas, they may do 1-2 mpg better than a GT. The reason they buy a V6is because they are cheaper all the way around tey're cheaper to buy and cheaper to insure. Hell Im glad people buy V6s just like you should be glad people buy the base Cobalts becuase if it wasn't for them there would be no SS or SS/SC just like there wouldnt be a GT or Cobra for the Mustang.

i bought a v6 because i got it for under 19k, with every single option, insurance is half of what a gt would cost to insure because i was 16 when i bought it and i am the primary driver. Not a bad deal really, high 14 sec car for under 19k with a very strong motor for a build. (the 4.0 has forged rods where the gt does not and a cast iron block instead of aluminum). I saved 7k+ plus just buying the v6 and over a two year period i will save another 3k. With 6k i can run mid 12's reliably, still have money left over as opposed to buying a gt, and outhandle a gt. hell there are more than a few people running mid 14's or lower with under a grand in bolt ons, so just because there is a faster model, doesn't mean it is the best choice for everyone. I'll give you the old 3.8's were very slow in most forms, but the 4.0's are not exactly lacking for how much they cost. If you look at all the new cars under 20k, the 4.0 with a manual is one of the fastest. For most people, they would just be better off going 4.6, but for me it would cost alot more to make the same power numbers and to get a gt with all the options i have on my 4.0 would have cost even more than 7k on top of what i payed for mine. why would anyone buy a wrx instead of an sti? because for the price difference you can make the wrx even faster with lower insurance, etc. especially for a teenager. exactly why i bought my car.

I understand your points but I still would have gotten the GT and an STi. That's me. Instead I drive a Cobalt SS/SC which gets outstanding gas mileage. Why do you think I haven't sunk any money into engine modifications? Because I like to see my 401k grow, not some crowned Saudi princes castle. I will post some pics. of that **** later if I find it.

You know, talking about Ford engines, I gotta say I have always believed the best engine Ford ever made is the 427 SOHC, dual carburetor model. Any V8 engine that puts out mid 600HP N/A and can rev up to 7.5k rpms? I'm down with that.
