Any 2.2's race integras?
Any 2.2's race integras?
a kid from my old high shool wants to race my balt thursday. He has a supposedly "rebuilt" by the former owner B18 with a knockoff ebay intake and a terrible sounding exhaust. Just started driving a few months ago. I have an auto 2.2 with injen cold air. we are doing a few diffrent races. Just getting a baseline run before i get all my stuff put on.

haha, i know yellow eye.
The only reason i had doubts was because of the motor. b-series arent all that bad. but i feel better in knowing that a shadtree mehanic "rebuilt" it. I really dont have faith in this kids shifting ability either. pretty damn slow and sloppy.

Honestly unless it's a GS-R or Type-R that's been well-maintained, you're probably looking at a win. Engines start to lose compression after a while (even Hondas
), rings wear out and blow-by increases, things like that will reduce an engine's available power. If he's close to stock except for an intake and a fart cannon, and he's got a high-mileage engine, you'll be just fine. I wouldn't be surprised if he's in the double digits for torque.
