Wow..what can you say? At least there seemed to be a few ricers with common sence. Not all honda guys are stupid but, it just takes one to make them all look bad...and slow!

I like the guy with the 80's Monte Carlo SS.
" I remember when SS actually meant something "
Sorry but a 170HP 15.8 second Monte SS is more of a disgrace to the SS label than a Cobalt will ever be.

Cobalts arn't a joke, they run like 14.5 stock, and alot of kids on the cobalt forums are running 14.2s stock and 13.x with little mods. Whoever says its just another cavilear is just ignorant. Not only are cobalts fast, they respond well to mods, and most of the dyno 215 whp stock, the only real issue is traction. you guys keep watch, they will be breaking 12s this summer with just bolt ons! Tofu on the cobalt forums has a pulley upgrade and an intake and he broke the 13s, hes also a good driver, but that is an example of what the SS/SCs can run with little work and a decent driver. By the way there are 2 different ss models. And kids with cobalts generally are not ********, at the forums we try to respect everybodys cars, choices, we are only asses if you are asses first. I don't know about all the civics, accords on this site, but most hondas in my home town have big cherry bomb mufflers, cheap intakes, huge rims, euro lights, and a coat rack wing on the back. and thy try to run down cobalts ls, ss, ss/sc's and lose. I tend to smoke them in my 4.3 s-10 as well not trying to start anything, ik there are alot of civics in the world with turbos, ect.. but the majority run 16s and people still think they are real fast.

Well put. ^^^
You can make any car fast. Honda's are good for that for sure but it cuts into the reliability of it. This guy had an 96ish ex with a well built turbo manifold and was pushing 12lb boost. A few months of fun and guess what his car ran 12's but know the car is back to stock because it is getting water in the oil. I like a lot of Honda and have owned one before. I just did not see putting $$$ into a car that had 160000 plus and making it faster just so it could be garbage quicker and be my money pit. Know with the Cobalt SC I have a new car and has potential to grow. The motor is vary strong and is made to handle boost.
So I agree that some Honda's will beat me in my ss sc but they will not be on the road as long or have as nice of a ride.

I am pretty sure he was being sarcastic and cutting the guys theory of having 215 HP down.

Well, as much as I think driving a badly modified car one inch from the ground on bald stock tires and a massive engine swap is dangerous...
You must admit, the original idea of taking "Mom's Old Car" that was $1000.00 and bolting on as little cost wise to it, then running the 1/4 mile for the **** of it is pretty fun from a 16 year olds point of view.
Many idiots have sadly given the title "RICER" to more people than it deserves to be put on, suddenly anyone with a Honda is a dangerous punk in the eyes of local populations all around.
Run-On-Time-With-Brian...Yipee!
Thanks alot all you dumb people with home made body kits and holes cut out in the header for "Flow" who drive as fast as the ricebucket will on my street at 3 in the morning stonned out of your mind, going to pick up your most recent LAY... Hmm, is her name Candy, Sasha, or Bambi... I guess it really makes no diference, you'll forget her name by morning...
