Ok this goes to the Guy in a white 2005 STI in Ottawa..

I had the best time ever with my cobalt yesterday on my way downtown because of you!

Tis was last night coming home from dowtown after playing a few games of pool with some buddies. So knowing I had to work early the next morning I decided to take off to stop me from drinking more than a couple of beers... So I finally get home and my dad calls me asking me to come and pick his drunk ass up lol (man did i ever wanna let him hang) so i felt bad for him so I decided to drive my lazy ass back downtown. I recall him telling me to take it easy on the road and not to speed. I was a 100% convinced since I wasent really in the mood UNTIL I get off the offramp near my place to go back downtown and as I pass the next on ramp I fly by a 2005 STI getting on(first time I see one while im in my car) he instantly was on my ass so I drop it in third to get him off me so he proceeded to follow me. I give him the fast lane and make a pull in third going about 120km/h at about 200km/h he had about 2 cars on me and changed in my lane and gave the loser lights. Another pull on 4rth and was on his ass the whole time as he only gained about a car. Next race was side by side and keeped it in fourth (was doing about 160 so no 3rd) Im not sure but he should of been in 5th because he only pulled about a half car almost to my front wheel. We proceeded to slow down.. As I come up beside him he gives me the BIG thumbs up. He must of wondered how the hell I could of keeped up with him. Hope I get too see him again he was awesome! He definatley smoke my ass the first run. Beated me and every other and the last was real close so im happy!! I just have stage 2 no ther mods at all. Im just glad I can hang with these guys. Anyways I got downtown so fast I had to wait half an hour for my dad to get out of the bar! That sucked.. Well thats my story.

Nice runs, but I'm surprised that you didn't pull away from him with the stg2 package you have. Maybe he had a few things done though...

 

He was probably modded as well. Stage 2 vs. a stock STI should belong to the SS.

Good runs though! I honestly don't mind losing to cars like that as long as the owner is cool about it too!

What makes you say that? STIs stock trap anywhere from 103-107. Has a stage 2 ran yet? What was its trap? 1st-4th gears pull hard in an STI its the 5th gear that sucks.

To the thread starter, did he have an exhaust?

Good thing I just ordered stage 1, to go with 1.5 that the dealer ordered me instead of stage 2 like i asked.

 

He was definatley faster than me. I forgot it was 6 speed so im not sure what gear he was in. Not once did I pull on him except for the last run where neither of us budged. Arent these mid 13 second cars? I was really proud of my car considering mine is half the price.

You know it Stage two is awesome! He must of been wondering what kind of cobalt crawled up his ass. He was really cool tho, very impressed. Il be at the Place d'Orleans car show every wensday and Alta vista races every friday. See u there!
