ok well now that im hitting full boost *yay* i found a blue neon srt 4. he def had a blow off valve, prob intake and exhaust after that i dunno. I had my 220lb roomie and 160lb friend in my car and this guy just had his gf. i played around with him a bit then we lined up. from 60mph i did the three beeps and let him get the jump so there were no excuse then by top of 2nd (73 ish mph) i was even and in third is was just all over. i pooped on him like it was a joke. I stopped at the top of 3rd (112 mph). he caught back up and i gave him the thumbs up then went on my way. btw it was on a completely empty straightaway highway too. it felt good to have my car pull all the way to redline! btw im 2.6 w/ meth and full exhaust with some other stuff.

 

What else did you expect to do to a basically stock SRT-4??? Stock for stock from a roll the SRT-4 will edge out an SS/SC, and from a dig with equal drivers the SRT-4 wins. You have a 2.6 pulley, meth and full exhaust, what did you really expect to happen!! Nice kill nonetheless, I just hope you knew what was gonna happen.

i never said it was a power upgrade did i? i was simply stating what he had. and yes i expected to win but what most dont understand is that ive been leaking boost due to my tune for the past 8 months and did everything (new s/c, gaskets, belt, tensioner) to try and fix it but just found out yesterday it was the tune and now im getting full boost due to the boost bypass mod. i got excited over winning my first race WITH full boost. my bad, i thought this was the war stories.

 

Dude, that adds like 20 whp along with that intake. That is good for another 15 whp on a stock SRT-4. That means 230 + 20 + 15 = 265 whp man.

Yes, a BOV and an intake do nothing on an SRT-4 other than make it sound cooler. That is about it. An intake doesn't do anything really until you are over 300 whp. A BOV does absolutely nothing for power, never sure why this ever is listed in mods when people go through mods when racing.

Glad you got that boost issue worked out. Trust me I know, it sucks when you have a boost leak and aren't making the power you should be.

 

I dont understand why so many people get mad like this. This is war stories, you post your races, doesn't really matter if your more modded then they are, you won. Just let them tell their story dont need to go off, well you wouldn't of blah blah blah...he did this time, all the story is about.

Good point. Probably the only reason why is so that this place doesn't become like half of the honda forums or like clubrsx where they always beat the 600+ whp cars with their civic or rsx with almost nothing done to it. I sometimes go over there for a good laugh. There is a forum that is completely pointless to post up in.
