I was leaving town to day in a 30 mph Zone when a black C6 pulls up behind following me out of town . I can tell he wants to go when we hit the 55MPH zone ( he pulled up on me pretty fast ) thats on a straight away about a mile long .

So i'm in 2nd at around 40 MPH when i hit the 55 and I mash it ......looking in the rearview and the corvette hit's it almost the same . Now he is about 2 car lenghts back when we start and when i hit 3rd he pulls out to pass . Threw all of 3rd he is inching up and when i hit 4th his front bumper is at my door .

I think the pop from the NLS into 4th scarred him cause he let off at that point and got back in behind me . I turned off about a mile farther down the road and he beeped and we gave each other the thumbs up .

I'm not in anyway thinking my car is as fast or faster than a c6 ....he made up at least 2 cars by 105-110 , and would have prolly started to pull even harder from 100mph on up . I thought it was cool to be able to hang for that short amount of time so i figured I'd post it here.

Nope lol . Me and my dad have a few good stories like this thou. It always ends the same thou .....after 100 my car just doesn't have anything to offer a c6 hehe

Me Too ....... I haven't seen a stock C6 be able to run 11's stock . A Z06 yeah but not a regular one.

No stock c6, non Z06 is running 11's on stock tires. Atleast I have yet to see one do it.

yep .... My dad's stock C6 LS2 went 12.70's on stock run flats

Yeah .....look around . Low 12's must be a factory freak LS2 on stock tires. Stock LS3's are low 12's mostly

yea but put an exhaust and cai on the ls2 and ur right there with the ls3

Yep , my dad went with corsa exhaust and a haltech CAI and after it was tuned..... put down 370 Whp and 365 wtq . Right there with a stock LS3.

x2, i was just at the track today and made friends with a guy that had a c6 with a charger on it, and he was running high to mid 11's when he hooked.

Nice run with the C6. I ran one at the track when I only had a tune. He killed me off the launch but didn't pull much more then 1 car from 50-90. Then he started pulling again just before he hit the 1/4 mile mark. He ran a 12.6 and I ran a 13.6

I had a run in the other day with a c6. I don't know what year it was but it was an older man and his wife. He pulled up behind me at red light and I assume he read my 3rd break light(it says V8 LOL) because I could see him chuckle and taped his wife and pointed at my car. The light turns green and I take off normal with him on my ass and the first chance he gets to come around me in the passing lane he does. I am going about 30 and when I see him start to come around and floor it so do I. It seemed by the time I floored it he had already started to pull half a car on me and by the time I was at full power I was holding pretty good at his back bumper until 80 when I let off. I don't know if the car was manual or auto or if the guy even had it floored all the way. He pulled into the turning lane and I went straight, when I passed him he gave a me a weird smirk and a thumbs up. That is the only run in I have had with one.

Nice. The Base model C6's are fun to play with and most people who have one just bought one because it says Corvette and they think they're the fastest thing on the road. It's funny when they realize that they don't really know how to shift quickly and their base model Vette isn't so fast.

My Dad and I trade car's from time to time ..... they really are a blast to drive. They can get you in trouble thou.......you think your doing 55-60 and it's more like 80 lol.

That said.....He loves driving my car , he loves the sleeper aspect of it ( I have a low spoiler now) . He has fun spinning 2nd from a 35 mph roll lol. He's an old gear head who's had a ton of fast car's .....and still appreciates the little Cobalt SS . Enough to take a few of his 50 something year old friend out in it to show them how it runs hehe.

I just bumped the boost up to 25 pounds from 22 so I wonder how I would do now. It seems to have allot more power now. We leaned it out a little to.

It would prolly be a good run from a roll with an LS2 C6 . Until 110- 120.... They seem to check out when you get up there . But your cars has a lot more than mine so you'll do better up top compared to me .

That one good thing about having a C6 in the family ......I can test new things out against it and see what ive gained.

For all the times listed for LSx Vettes, it is largely driver and traction.
I run with guys that have bolt on C5s and just went 11.3 @120 on DRs and is a great driver.
I also run with guys that are bolt on C5s and are struggling to hit mid 12's.
Another pal Gary had an '04 bolt on Z and went 10.8 @ 124 (Not certain on trap speed)

I'm guessing this chap was not a spectacular driver.
