That would be cool. Actually, my g/f lives in Newark for right now (school) so I would have to go up there at some point anyway.

Cool vids on your myspace page. Kept it close with that Evo.

Gotta say though, it has WAY WAY WAY less then 400WHP. It looked like he got a decent 60ft, probably nothing special though. But he only managed a 13.2 at 106?? My brother ran a 13.2 at 105 in his bone stock Evo. He did that without knowing how to launch that well.

I have around 300AWHP, maybe a little more and even I ran a 13.0 at 108 with like a 2.3 60ft. So, something definitely doesn't add up.

Cool videos though. I have similar ones on my myspace

yeah I didn't think he had that kinda power... just what he told me at the track... Still was a good run though. Now my car is actually back up to full power again (wasn't in any of those vids) Always something broke or quit working the night before.... but that's always the case/ I haven't touched it in a week since I got it running right, only driving out to NJ. But this will be it's last hoorah with this motor in it anyway, whole new setup going in very soon

damn nice vids man.... very nice car you got there....

Thanks. I still have to get the clutch sorted out. I paid $1400 for my Exedy Twin then another 800 to install it. And it's never worked right since the first day I had it in.

After that prolly cams, meth, head studs and a bigger FMIC. As it sites right now, it'll definitely put you back in your seat.

The unfortunate part around here is I haven't really seen any Cobats run great numbers. I don't say that to be a dick, just what I've seen at the track. Maybe a lot of people can't drive, or I haven't seen them all, but a lot of them (even with mods) are still in the 14's. I've even seen Cobalt SS/SC running 15's... along with a couple WRX's and other cars which should be faster.

I've also seen 6.0 GTO's running mid-high 14's on seperate occasions. My buddy ran a 13.8 in his LS1 powered GTO.

Camaro's are very consistent around here.

The fastest Cobalt that I've seen run was my old one, Donald was driving it because I was having trouble breaking into the 13's so he fired it down the track for a 13.9 run, he absolutely murdered some guy in a Mopar Stage 2 SRT-4 that run. Anyhoo yeah I haven't seen any other Cobalts break into 13's around here. I heard rumor of one running a 12.8, but I never saw it.

Going out every Friday and Saturday night to the car scene to find races, lying about your mods to internet people and potential racers, racing bad drivers, and being a cocky arrogant ***** are pretty silly things as well.

Yeah, kinda dumb imo, but that has nothing to do with you, so why do you care?

, lying about your mods to internet people and potential racers,

You realise that this is a common thing right? hardly anyone tells people what they truely have done

racing bad drivers,

Ohhhhh darn your right....he should have asked "are you a good driver" and avoided the ones who say "nah i suck"

and being a cocky arrogant ***** are pretty silly things as well.

That makes 2 of you then

Stop dragging this tired pathetic thread back up. it was finally buried.
Regardless of how Syp conducts himself....you are making yourself look 10 times worse every time you comment in this thread.

well contrary to what you might believe nicholas.... i go out everyweekend to hang out with my Grand Prix friends... we happen to meet at a place where people chill with their cars...

sometimes i will see if some mustangs or whatever want to race, but most of the time i pull out my lawn chair and just chill.

Nice car. Always liked the Protege5's!! I actually would like to get my hands on a Mazdaspeed Protege. Don't know why, but I've always thought that was a sweet car. Not too many FWD cars I would consider owning but the MS Protege is one of them.

Thanks, Finally installed a proper LSD and it has made such a difference, It's like a new car.

The MSP is a good car for 2003 when it came out. AUTO-X is more the place for it than the 1/4 , It' has good response (Even Turboed) because of its small T-25 and has a tendency to overseer if you truly throw it hard. It's like a Go-Kart.

Thanks for having a look at my car, Sneaky Pete (P7X) describes it as an "Experience" rather than going out for a drive.

I'm confused. Did SyP beat SlowSho's GTO once and now he wants a re-race? Or did SyP beat a random ass GTO and now SlowSho wants to prove (as if we didnt know) that generally GTO's are faster?

Regardless I think we can all agree that GENERALLY GTO's are faster then Cobalts. But thats not saying a Cobalt CANT be faster then one or two...

When my car was STOCK I could beat alot of Evo drivers on road courses and autox courses. I have no doubt that I was out driving them because I know their cars are superior. Drivers are a MORE important part of the race then the vehicles...
