What bugs me is not that you guys "ran him off". It's these guys who come on a website mainly aimed at SS cobalts and claim that their LT or LS is so amazing. You gotta show respect cuz there's a bunch of guys here with well over 300 wheel and racing much more than a shitty old chevy truck.

It's a truck! And a crappy one at that.

Put your head down. Walk away.

It's attitudes like that, that scare off the new people, who gives a **** whether or not someone has an as or not, it's a ******* cobalt buddy. Show respect to 300hp? Yea that's not that impressive anymore...

so a 155bhp stock cobalt is impressive and someone who has experience modding their 300whp turbo cobalt and racing cars worth a **** is not? I can see your logic.

What are you driving? an Enzo? Veyron?

When you have less power, fewer mods, or a shittier car, you are the student. I'm not going to walk up to my boss with his 800hp viper and start telling him about the stock evo that I killed. Why?

And since you really feel like arguing with me, What were you like when you first joined this forum? was it all glory and fantastic races with shitty old trucks? or did you come on here with respect and ask questions and maybe help someone else with a problem that you actually knew about.

Go on any forum with the story this guy told and it's going to get the same result.

300 FWHP is pretty respectable. I do understand that accepting all cobalts should be done, but not when you try and talk up an LT/LS on an SS forum.

BTW ill post suspension and tire size differences from the LS and SS, and vid of my roast for all you bitches in disbelief.
Dude - don't go full bent, and hang in there. This forum is hard even on the guys with mildly modified SS's! There's a place for N/A 'balts, and its worthwhile to check out the sensible posts for mods on the non SS's here.

I had an 04 Grand Am, and I remember dudes talking **** about the non GT's all day long, despite me having the V6 optioned in my SE1 and being faster built. It takes a thick skin, sometimes...... As for me, my apologies for not seeing you dusting the truck with an N/A 'balt - that would have made me happy, too, back in my Grand Am days!

even tho it says cobaltss.net, its still a website devoted to all cobalts and ecotecs homie. if you wanna get techinical, i had LS that woulda kept up/beat a bunch of the modded SS's (SS/TC, SS/SC). but thats besides the point

well hey guys, decided to come back. Umm so ya, looking back on some of these comments, why do you guys think i don't respect the built cobalts?
This was when i got my first cobalt and ya it wasn't the greatest car but it lasted. I had plenty of wins over SIs and other jap crap. Just happy to join the forum and talk about my car. Never meant to make it seem like the fastest cobalt ever????

BTW i traded the ls for an 08 tc, currently trying to get it under 13sec within my budget. So for the trolls up top, lets meet up soon, hopefully you haven't written checks your car cant cash 0.o

Now I am no english professor or anything, but if I read that right it said the Chevy Cobalt. Not the Chevy Cobalt SS. Seriously dude get your head out the sand. You have to think also. If the Cobalt didn't sell well, they wouldn't have kept producing them. Guess which one was made more. The non SS Cobalt.

Isn't that how it is with any top "exclusive" trim?
You could argue that point with SRT8, SRT4, GXP, etc.
All normal trim cars will get manufactured/sold more.

Well yeah. You can argue it with any performance car. It's the fact that he was saying it's a SS forum when it's not. The name has SS in it, that's it. I was saying that if it wasn't for the sales of the base models then there would be no SS. So to talk down to it because it isn't a SS is very moronic and idiotic.

First off - on a note meant specifically to pat myself on the back......

I did give you congrats on your N/A kill after realizing it.

Second - kudos on you stepping up to the TC instead of shitting on all 'balts based on the smack you got from the forum. It could have been easy for you to get your nuts in a twist, and then go to the dark side (i.e., Evo, Sti).

And third - better to beat the crap out of an N/A 'balt, then graduate.

Looking forward to an honest kill story when you're done hunting some lighter V8 than a fatass full-size truck!

regardless, all i would like is some tips and direction on these cars. I'm not familiar with American cars.

sry to put this forum here, back when i posted last year i thought it was an 2.2 section.
