If you are on a 2.8" pulley and only put down 245whp, It was either a mustang dyno, DynoDynamics dyno, or your tuner fails hard.

Ya its a low reading dyno...I know my car isn't fast but that doesn't mean I can't have fun with cars that are, I agree completely with kahless. Love watching the big boys go hard.

That sucks for you! Turbo time!

CTS-Vs are heavy but they can still move. I need another go at the 503whp/518wtq maggie s/c CTS-V from my local forum, it was close last time with his crappy shifting. With the intercooler and charge piping and some weight reduction i might have him a little closer.

The only thing done to the car was exhaust... He is paying for the car so therefore has no money and being in the army has no time or want to make it faster haha hejust wants to keep it stock.

Makes 400hp, not 300. And even the 1000lbs weight isn't enough to make up for the big hp/tq difference...and don't think just peak, the rest of the powerband you race in matters as well.

CTS-V's never got LS1s. In 04-05, they got the 400hp 5.7L LS6; in 06-07, they got the 6.0L 400hp LS2.

Side note- no LS1 ever made 300hp, they all made 350 and were underrated in the F-bodies as to not bite into Corvette sales.

Correct, but like I said above not all got the LS2. 04-05 got the LS6, 06-07 got the LS2. Both were 400hp.

I raced one on the Daytona before it went away for the winter. Old man was crazy, He got beat, but he wouldn't give up on trying to get me to do a rematch after I beat him by a bus or so

Anyway, a stage 3 SS/SC is not going to keep up with one Maybe the older ones with the LS2, but not a new one.

lmfao! i seen a CTS v for sale for like 30K but it was an 08 and i don recall the engine but i do know remeber seeing the specs it was around 440hp or somethin of that nature... and i was jus thinkin that i know that beast of a car is way heavier than a balt i still woulda figured that it woulda whooped some ass on an SC balt.. i think if you had a tuned TC you woulda been in a good competition good race.. lol..

a well tuned 2.8-2.7 lsj with all supporting mods should be giving those first gen cts-v's a good run for there money. unless there fully bolted and nitrous or FI then i dont see any m62 car keeping up with those...
