still wouldnt make a difference im thinking, een if it was 350HP, idk what your car puts out but ill take it as a stock, thats a 100+ hp difference even with 3 people, auto, pushing 350 he should of kept up the least. im sure sum1 will correct me if im wrong

He was probably playing with you. And no, you wouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell at winning a normal race (dig or roll).

and BWWWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA @ the bold portion.

Ehh with all of the weight and a shitty driver its possible. I have yet to see a stock C5 run better than a 14 second quarter mile by me. So to the poster above. It's possible. Unlikely but possible.

ok...c5 corvettes, run mid 13's stock...

he had three people in a two seater?? i dunno if anyones ever been in a c5 corvette but its pretty hard to fit three people in there...

good chance he had very low gas and didnt want to burn it off by racing you

needless to say..unless ur modded to the ****..corvette would have had you no trouble from a roll

you guys must have some friends who are horrible at driving...

pretty much..a c5 corvette runs a second under the ss/sc...

so for you..stock..to hang with a slighty modded c5 corvette..is like me..stock..hanging with a slighty modded ss/sc..from a roll..

only way i could do that..is if the driver was horrible!!

Although you haven't seen me run my C5, but I have done 12.9 w/ a stock setup. So there you have it. However, I have an MN6.

To give you some idea, it should take him about 6 seconds to get from 50-100mph w/ a stock C5 manual w/ driver only.

There's only a half second difference between the two in 1/4 mile. I/H/E would have a C5 at potential to run solid 12.5's given the driver mod, which is right there w/ a well driven c6. However, the new LS3 setup might be a 12 flat car, so it could be significantly faster.

Ufmmfm.....He definately wasnt' racing. A stock ss/sc traps 96-98...a stock c5 will trap around 108. With 2 passengers, probably traps like 106 I would assume haha...so no he definately wasn't trying. Don't get your hopes up

Lets just say, I barely edged one out with my 2.5 pulley, all bolt ons, 100 octane, 100 octane tune obviously...I had a car lenght on him from 70-140...but in the end he was starting to pull/creep up on me.

I know what happened... the Corvette driver probably left it in like 4th or 5th.

I do it to Civic Ricers all the time. I hear from there buddies that they "hung with the that really fast Stg2 Cobalt" and then I laugh, and tell them that I had left it in forth.

You also didn't race him past 100. Just try and keep up with an LSx motor after 100 and see what happens. An LSx motor past 100 is like Ali in rounds 12-15. Good luck winning after that.

No kidding... especially in a Vette...

I call it Vette-Tec...

It's just like V-Tec... but instead of engaging based on RPM's... it engages when you get around 110-120... and then you just ****** take off.
