effing Tc's
freakin' TC's are a dime a dozen here... we test drove one for my EX for the heck of it, what a piece of crap
xB's litter the fastlane of the highways here in Chicagoland barely doing the speed limit... a small amount cruise at a constant 80 mph (they must have a brick on the gas pedal).
I have actually had 1 or 2 knuckleheads in xB's try to mess w/ me
.... one squirt of boost at 1/2 throttle and bye-bye

the tc is a drivers race for a 2.2. 2.4 should win hands down.
dude, you drive a cobalt, and you're bashing the tc?
it may not be as quick, but overall, the tc is a much nicer car. some people have their heads in the coulds man, you drive an ECONOMY CAR, just like the tc.
my towns like a tc dealership, with like 50 in this small town, and im not being sarcastic and everytime i see em in their little gay car meets and all, i just my boys and we just show em some real cars, and they try racing us, but they are not gunna put up a run with my cobalt ss s/c, a trailblazer ss, 2 vw vr6's, and an evo, no way in hell they always lose, toyota is garbage

14.0 second run. With some part swaps, he would be in the 13's easy. Now here's a bolt on STOCK ECU Celica with a 75 shot of nitrous.

12 second Celica. Plus once my friend's order for the new 08 BMW M3 comes through, I'll get his complete greddy charger setup (I/H/E, emangage), putting me to at least 220 whp. Now if you do some simple math for weight:horsepower ratios... a GTS weighing at 2500 lbs / 220 whp = 11.36 lbs/whp. Now if you take the average stage II Cobalt SS... we got 2800 lbs/ 245 whp = 11.43. Although you guys would have way more torque than us, we'd have the better weight:hp ratios. And 220 whp is along the tame side, GTS Greddy s/c setups average at 230 whp when tuned on the PFC. Race up against a properly modded 6 speed GTS with a good driver, I bet you'll be surprised.

As for the poll, Tc owners tend to be timid in my area. I've had many run-ins but no challenges to date.
N8s07SS its not a big deal lol idk if ur being sarcastic or not but i was responding to this
before i got my cobalt the tc was actually a car i was considering, they don't have to be a girls car, they are pretty nice, and they got a nasty sunroof. i don't like the gauges though or how a lot of their drivers think they're fast. theres this one guy at the berlin turnpike who has a black tC, i think my friend ran against him (he has a 98 avenger auto) and he said it didn't beat him that bad. his car is all done up, i wanna run him so bad, if he only beat my friend by a little bit id be sure to beat him.

And how much more will buying a I/H/E, nitrous, and a standalone ECU differ? You guys have to buy the same things for more gains too. The only extra thing I mentioned was the greddy s/c, and that's only $2,800 to reliably boost a NA car.
I agree that they are chick cars, but I don't think they look half bad... I haven't got a chance to race on, but I don't think it would be much of a race unless their boostin. Joe, where do you drive that you get challenged by 3 TC's a week???
mostly on i-4, but a LOT on 37 south of lakeland, something about there.

Ive seen maybe 2. One by the airport and one on ottawa. I like them. The back kinda reminds me of the G6. and the front like a honda (which I think are alright. Not good but alright). I HATE their steering wheel. HATE!
Canadian plates on both of the ones I saw. I talked to the one in Ottawa. Said he bought it and drove it accross. He was lucky he didnt get stopped at the border and asked for the car registration papers. That would have been some hot duty/taxes.
So? Why does hp per dollar matter? Some cars aftermarkets are just more expensive than others. Just because you can get more gains for you money doesn't mean you have a superior car, especially when it comes to loosing to a faster car at the 1/4 mile.
