epic fail

so a 300zx drives past me and lets off a woosh sound. i pull up next to him at the next light, and I know he wants to race. light turns green and he hits it. i hit and and catch up to him, by the time i got up to 80 i was a few car lengths ahead. i knew he really thought he was gonna take me. lol. fail!

300zx isn't as fast as you'd think.. The twin turbo's are only ~300bhp/28xft/lbs in stock form.

That being said, the t-tops are so sexy looking.

from the way you wrote your post it sounded like you were telling the op it was a fail that hes in a cobalt in the first place

lol. Yea from his post I have no idea what kind of car he drives. I assumed it was a cobalt but wasn't sure if it was a SS/SC or a SS/TC. Or even the specific mods done to the car.

IIRC, when they were new, they were one of the fastest accelerating cars sold in the US that a normal person could hope to afford.

goes to show how far cars have come.

That said, most of the time, when you destroy an older car in a race, it is more the age and mileage showing than anything else, a fresh 300ZX twin turbo is a pretty quick car.

definately a quick car... but a gm stage 1 could take one even if it was running brand new

One of the chief selects at work has a GORGEOUS 300zx he's done alot of work to it, I'd love to own one of them. But yeah like you said they are heavy! He was saying the stock seats with brackets were 100+ lbs iirc. And he also says there is a few key parts he keeps a spare of when driving because they fail so often. Haha
