So I got my rematch with the evo I raced earlier. I guess he must of done something else to his car because I couldn't quite get him. He slowly walked me. I even had the cutout open this time. Oh well. Here is a vid!! ENjoy

hmm thats wierd. Is this a buddy of yours? Do you know anything in regards to the mods on the evo.

 

Yeah. He said " exhaust and computer" It didn't seem like he knew too much about cars or his car in particular. It moves pretty good though. He must have done something since the dig race. Thats all I know.

 

he def has a bigger wategate, or one hell of a case of compressor surge, id say hes moddded and this last time you met him he upped the boost

 

bigger wastegate....not necessarily. Not unless he's got a larger turbo in which more boost would be required. Stock turbo's, 20g's and the likes dont need an external gate. What the evo guy did was get a 3" exhaust (cat-back...maybe turbo-back) and reflash the ecu. It helps quite a bit. I didn't (cant) see the video, but the "compressor surge)" is probably the BOV he probably bought an overpriced BOV that was not needed.

The only way a wastegate will make any noise is if its externally dumped. I'd have to see the video to make an opinion. Or he has a dumped 02 which are dumb unless you have a racecar or a huge turbo that needs that extra release for earlier spool. I wasn't knocking you or your "experience"

haha my friend has an evo pushing over 400 hp. my other frien has a sc cobalt with st2. they were talking **** about each ohter for the longest time so they finally raced. my friend with the evo raped the cobalt so bad it was sad. put it this way my cobalt friend has respect for the evo now. when evo gets moded cobalts dont have a chance unless u dump **** load of money into it. my friend that has the evo gets worked on by tnt. their is a corvette z06 that is pushing 600+ horses. thats his next race.

 

As an Evo owner I can say that won't be much of a race even if they do it from a dig. lol

LoL!! I thought the same thing!! LMAO I was thinking Computer WTF does that mean? A dell? I was hoping an Evo owner on her would enlighten me.

 

my frieand is building a 2.4 engine that is going to produce high 500+ hp. his evo is going to be insane. i think its fast enough right now but he is going the extra step. he is going to race the zo6 now and when he gets done with this build he will race him again.

 

99% positive the evo owner meant (computer) a reflash of the ecu
