first beat 06 ss/sc vs srt4
So yesterday night was about to get on the expressway when an all blacked out srt-4 drove up from behind going like 70 when the speed limit was still 45 so I knew he wanted to race. He got up next to me and we took off from 45 mph and I put about a car on him by the time we were at 90-100mph. He followed me off the exit ramp and we went again from about 20mph right after a turn and the same thing happened. I don't know his mods but I heard his turbo so loud lol. Was suprised I won and so excited. Got my ss 2 weeks ago and this was my first race

Gotta watch those lil SRT-4s, they can make BIG power. Glad you got some action, i cant seem to find anything to play with lately. Found a C6 Z06 on CCWs and at least exhaust the other day, sadly i was in my buddies Caliber SRT-4

ya the srt4's can lay down some serious power. my buddy put a delta 60 hta turbo on his over the winter. makin like 425hp to the wheels. friday night he went 12.87 at 120 on street tires. thing moves out like its going out of style lol

whats funny is I was about to buy an SRT-4 before the cobalt, but the guy got a higher offer from someone else (it was an amazing deal) so I didnt get it booo...
and yeah those bastards can rip, my freind used to have a heavily modded one and it went Zero to "what seems to be the problem officer" faster than you could count.

if any of you guys are serious about getting an srt4 let me know. my buddy has his for sale for 12500. delta 60hta turbo. greddy bov. front mount. stage 2 pcm. apexi turner. coilovers. turbo timer. greddy digital display. shows boost can adjust boost from inside the car. tuned by real tune. makes right around 425 wheels on 93octane at 25psi. suppose to make right around 500 to the wheels on race gas with the right tune.

ya he spun to 330 because he was on STREET tires if he woulda been on slicks he woulda went 11's so ya for being on street tires and spinning thing moves out on a track, if you really wanna see it move watch it on the streets. and i know what 120 comes out to. should be right around 11.00's 11.teens. that's the speed my drag car traps at.

^ that was the point I was trying to make, it doesn't move out running a 12.8 unless you bolt on some slicks and it runs mid 11's. So to the 12.8 comment=not that impressive, 120 trap= some what impressive (though bolt on cobras are running that), until it actually runs mid 11's=not impressive; more of a what if scenario... Since you are guessing what it will run then I am going to say it hasn't run on anything but street tires yet!
What kind of drag car you got? Because a front wheel drive car won't get out of the hole nearly as fast as a rear wheel drive drag car so you can't guesstimate what it will run based on your other drag car. If it traps the same as your drag car I am going to guess it will run mid 11's at best of your drag car goes 11 flat, its all about weight transfer and traction...

its a 388 small block with a powerglide tranny, we run 110 octane (gonna switch to alcohol this winter). 2-step. 10 bolt rearend(about to be a ford 9 inch) fastest run i have to date was a 10.98, it was in october last year. it was like 54 degrees haha my dad use to run hot rod with it a long time ago before we blew the old motor up. i'll have a couple pics posted in my profile here in a little bit. i have some videos on youtube also. i wonder how many other people on here also have drag cars along with their balts. it would be nice to find some other fellow drag racers.
got a couple pics put up let me know what you think
