First Kill

I was driving around late saturday night in my ss/sc and I saw a white grand am gtp coming up on me pretty fast. He drove past me and we exchanged looks, then he hit it and took off. I was in 3rd at about 3000 rpm and hit it after he put about 1-1.5 car lengths on me before I got going. I should've down shifted but I got a little lazy. So I hit it soon after he did and he stopped putting distance on me, but in a few seconds I began to pull on him. I continued going till I was at about 80 mph and had put about a car length on him then he shut down and so did I. Nothing too special I am just surprised at how fast my car managed to close the gap and get up to speed when I was in the wrong gear and have no mods. I cant wait to start modding it out

Yea thats how it was when i raced my friend in her V6 2006 mustang. I was about 1/2 a car ahead of her and she gunned it right after i shifted to second. I was lazy and just floored it rather than shifting. She started walked up even then up to about 3/4 of a car and i started gettin really nervous. Once I creeped up to 35K it was over and i easily put 1.5 cars on her. Congrats on the first kill!!

Probably a Grand Am...he could have beaten a GP, too, but I don't see that happening without downshifting first.

was it a grand am GT, or was it the Grand Am GT Ram Air? You know, the one with the hood scoops good for at least 60 hp and 40 ft/lbs, not to mention the optional factory wife beater driver mod. Obviously, it wasn't the Ram Air. Those Ram Airs are friggen sweet.
