first kills in the 5.0
Finally got around to running the new car.. caught a dry moment this morning (been raining here in jax for the past week) please excuse my slightly lack of driver mod, still getting used to the car, still on a paper tag
Sunday runs, '12 5.0, '07 350z, '05 Mustang GT - YouTube
I also ran a SC G8 from a 60 the other night, side by side till about 130 ..my gears are no good past that lol 373s

how in the world did the 350z get out ahead of you in the first race? if its stock shouldnt it be a high to mid 13 second car? i feel like your 5.0 should have been ahead the whole time, despite the 3rd gear fail lol. btw, bad ass car man! looks and sounds great. im jelly

Yeah, spin spin spin lol 373s and somewhere around 420 to the wheels on street tires.. anything is gonna get the jump on me haha the 350z didn't spin at all and its the HR motor they cut 13.1s bone stock
Stock shifter and bracket? If so that the first thing you need to do to the car. I'm running a barton shifter and 1st gen bracket on my car and I love it.
The second thing is a torque limiter. The remote mount shifter in this car moves around so much that the gear engagement changes all the time.

It's not your driving. It's the car. Id say im better than the average stick driver and this car made me feel like a noob. After the shifter and bracket it's almost back to where I want it to be but my 1-2 shift goes it with a notch and I feel I need the limiter on there.

Nice runs. Was the GT even spraying? With bolt ons and 100 shot of juice he should be relatively close to where you're at power wise. If he was indeed spraying, I'm a bit disappointed in that car.
After watching that vid. My next new car will be a white 5.0 Cali edition.. Holy ****! Now get that Kmember and stop missing third! I cant believe how hard you freight trained him after that missed gear. BEASTLY!
I have to say I'm impressed with the car. Sounds great and looks like a **** ton of fun.
Also, don't take this the wrong way but.... You totally look like you should own a mustang.

subd!! i was also yestarday at mexico on sunday runs, and there was a 2012 boss 302 with intake, full exhaust, tune and ran a bone stock 2013 ZL1 and surpricenly when everyone thought the camaro was going to beat the stang, the stang took the camaro by about half a car from a 40-150mph+
this goes to show how the new stangs are really impresive machines!

Haha Ford really stepped it up.. the old 4.6l, aside from the termi, was depressing
I was kinda of disappointed in the zl1 after seeing the dyno battle with the new gt500, a 100whp difference
