First "real" kill with the 2.2L!
I just picked up my first "real" kill last night.
On my way to get some DQ. pull up to a red light, and this 89-93 Honda Accord pulls up next to me, blasting his rap and revving his engine. Since I'm really not good at launching (and our car isn't) I let him get a good car length on me, and then I just hammer the hell out of the gas, shift to 2nd, chirp the tires, hit speed limit, and hit the brakes a few times to tell him I'm done. I was about 1 and a half to 2 cars ahead at the time.
It would've only gone down hill after that, for him. I believe he had a standard tranny, but I wasn't sure. Next stop light, I'm going to the turn lane, and he's in the far right lane. I slow down to give him a thumbs up and he does the same, and we go on our merry ways. Needless to say, the DQ was awesome!!!
Plus I cut it off, since I need to keep my record clean for 3 years, due to one too many tickets (seatbelt, excessive acceleration, speeding; none of which are with the cobalt; with cars I owned previously!)
Most of the time, I see people on the side of the street, going the opposite way, so I can't show them what this domestic can do!
