first v8 kill
Oh i know...i was wanting to sell it for a c5/fbody/truck but after seeing what i'd get for it i'm just gonna keep it and play around with it once i get a cheapo 4x4 silverado to drive to work and back. Watchin ZZP's 2.4 videos makes me want to stick with her and at least see some low 8's at our local 1/8th mile

Looked at an old one,'94 I think.Didn't drive it but even the old ones were badass looking.$29k was way too much for a then 14 year old car that had plasic curtains for windows IMO.The newer ones like yours are much more of a car.
Friend of mine has a Cammed Viper and it is absolutely sick. V10 is essentially just a big block so it responds very well to mods.
550Rwhp with just heads and cam are not uncommon. Then there's the boost option

That's just like the c6 Z06, 550+whp with heads/cam swap, then you have the boosted option!
It has massive torque off idle but after looking over at the viper forums 11.9's have been achieved on stock tires. Dodge gears them very tall. When i say that i mean at 80mph in 6th it'll be cruising along at 1000rpm.
11.8 @ 122mph isnt what all Vipers run. I can see your year running that possibly, but there are probably tons of Cobalts on this site that can beat the earlier year Vipers, and I'm talking about the 1st gen that was running low 13's stock. The 2nd gen ran mid 12's on average, which I'm sure there are Cobalts that can run that, the new gen and the gen you bought are the ones that really move.

Yeah i drove it on the highway twice at 60 mph 6th gear is lugging it. 6th is only for i would say 70 and up. I only launched it probably 3 times not much seat time but like i said. They are made cheap. This one i did is a 98 GTS. Don't know much about the different years.
Why not?? You're still gonna pay almost as much for one from the mid 90's as you are a brand new Cobalt SS!! I'm not trying to compare them really, I was just stating the facts because your year Viper, which cost you probably 40k or more is gonna be running in the 11's, not all gens.

39k isnt the norm at all, and if you seriously could have had a c6 Z06 for that price, I definately would have done that. And you're right about them being delusional, I seen a 96 I believe it was with 70k miles on it going for 27k just last week in the local paper.
