So, I'm coming back from taking my dad out golfing for Dads day, and I'm on the freeway just chillin. This Civic Si(06) pulls aside and he's leaning forwards looking at me like he's in a Funny Car or something, like I have no chance. he's got this real serious "I'm 1 gear away from Mach 2" look on his face...and all I could do was laugh right in his face! I turned back to the road and just drove along my merry way. NOW I could tell he was pissed and would do anything to get me to race him. We're putting along at like 70. I'm in the lane next to the fast lane...hes to my right. He won't give up now...speeding up, slowing down.....honking...reving his engine...yada yad yada. I give in......it's hard to say no to b*tches. LOL So, I give him the nod. After an awkward moment of figuring out how to start, I give him a hint at a hand signal from me of....3 fingers....2 fingers....then one...and then GO! He nods back. (while this is going on, I snuck down into 4th gear without letting the car dive enough for him to notice) I can see the excitement on his eyes.......little does he know 3..........2..........(guess which finger goes up now?) GO! All in one motion I go from 4th to 3rd.....mashed the pedal to the floor and swich into the fast lane (as if to rub it in his face that it's me that belongs there and not him!) Needless to say I made this guy look like a punk! About 130 hits and I slow down....he must have went poopie after 110 bc he gave up(at least 10 cars back) so I slowed all the way down to like 70 again and let him catch up, but this time I would not even look over. Right as he pulls up next to me I'm giving the universal....(straight-faced; hand over the mouth, yawning due to absolute boredom, dam this is a very uneventful drive home) signal. LOL HA HA HA He's raging mad by this point I can tell, he pulls in front of me as though he wants to do it again. I pull up beside him now on HIS right...(this is the best part!) I give him the nod to do it again........he does the hand count down this time and JUST as he hits GO......I calmly apply the brakes as he takes off.............and I take my offramp to head home!!!!!! HA HA HA HA HA
Was F'N Great!!!! I think he was so focusds on that race that he didn't even see me pull off bc he thought he had the lead!!!! CLASSIC! He's screaming down the freeway.....all pumped up! Hope he got a ticket!!!! HA
I've owned two Civics..........Great cars, but NO COBALT SS/SC
