some tool in a nissan altima coupe with a fart can raced me yesterday. wow..
he lined up with me on the highway.. i slowed down, so did he, then i sped up, so did he. at this point i was pretty sure he wanted a race. i rolled down the window and asked if he needed directions
at that point he screamed that he had a "chip" i guess he had a tune or something. he wouldnt leave me alone, so i smoked his ass. no contest. i think a stage 2 balt would've whooped him.
notes: red altima coupe with "chip" and exhaust got powned by my cobra with catback, and K&N filter.

usually noobs say they have a chip. they dont realise you cant "chip" an OBD II computer.
i know. i was really proud of myself that i thought of it.

i know on ebay there were these "chips" that are used for HP gain. not sure if they really help or not. all they are are two wires that are saudered together with a resister. then it splices into your electrical somewhere. from what i understand, which isn't much, is that it makes the car think it's running cooler than what it really is...i dunno. i passed it off and didn't pay much attention to it.

good kill chevy...i actually carry around a leash in my car that my pit doesnt fit in no more and when people **** with me i hang it out the window and dump it in third lol..but only to certain cars haha
those little chips you are talking about are not chips. it is a diode with two wires out of each end that you stick up inside of your iat sensor plug... and yes it does make the ecm think that the engine is running cooler. and if you engine thinks it is running cooler it is not pulling timeing and that itself will make a few more hp... maybe not much, but i have seen them work first hand. just do not leave them in for a very long time. as they will start a virus and kill the ecm. seen that happen to...
