this is true ^^^^ but 3rd is too hard to pull on the tc.... it is incredibly rough to do without methanol. It pisses me off that the tc is that strong in 3rd.

well, I can't speak from experience...so i don't know for sure. But having that extra 5-hundred rpm's while he's in second might help. Like I said. I do know it was door to door with me and the one I raced. And I wasn't even in a good part of my powerband. And if that wasn't bad enough, I had just started to build up those rpm's again when we hit traffic...the race only lasted 60 yards. I'm pretty sure I could have pulled at least a little.

 

wasnt there but the sc and the tc have their advantages and disadvantages in different parts of the race.

sc will win for instance from a 40-80 roll but the TCs gain ALOT of power by the middle of 3rd. Yes the shifting at 7k is a godsend vs the tc.

Here is a good idea of what it takes to run a TC....now i was UNTUNED on methanol so my 2nd gear was not nearly as strong due to it drowning my injectors that night and running 10s AFR however you can see his shifts vs mine and when he took 5th at the end and tried to pull i caught up by the end of 4th. I had a 200 lbs passenger 1/3 gas, he was on empty and no passenger.

I got my buddies 09 T/C Sedan by a car..but it's a sedan too.

 

what speed to what speed? they arent that much different. Also driver-mod makes a big difference. Me and my friend can drive.

think it was establish a gm stage 2 wont take a tc. Hell every video ive seen and every tc race ive witnessed destroyed s2s by the end of 3rd.

Anyway not saying an s2 cant beat a tc. Since ive beaten a 6.0 GTO before. That doesnt mean i beat the car....just the driver. Hopefully you will luck out and your driver mod > his.

Well, from a dig and roll...40 roll to around 110. He used to have stage 2 + S/C..So I think it's not anything new to him, except the 6500 RPM redline. The dig race was a fluke...He had the Traction control on at the strip and bogged real bad, so it really wasn't a race.

I smell some fail on his part if you do happen to race him. Brand new to a manually tranny AND brand new car means he needs time to actually learn what to do. I wouldn't force him to race, it'd be a shame if something went wrong due to inexperienced driver error. Not worth the risk, don't put your friend in that position (my opinion).

his last truck was manual but this is his first manual CAR and if we do race it will be within a week
