There are stories of Stage 2 cobalts beating LS1 Camaros, LS2 GTO's and Terminators all over in here and you say simply posting what a LS2 GTO can really do is BS?

After all how long does it take to look up times for a LS2 GTO on the internet five seconds?

Low 13's is the norm and from what I have seen there are maybe 3 SS/SC's on here that can match that or beat it.

 

that's not the problem cody. it's everything loses to ls_ cars that's the problem. No way in hell a car that is considered a drivers race for an ls___ car is gonna beat it, no way! you just talk alot of **** all around.

I find it so funny how it's not the fact that i lost to all but one of those V-8's, but everyone machs on how that i didn't win by such a short distance behind them all!!! you really think that vette would get 7-8 cars in front of you when racing, that funy! maybe he did messed up (doubt it), but it' was nice to see he even thru down i guess! notice how the only one that i really did beat was the A4 and not the Manual6......but "i didn't lose by that short distanec" to the M6...it had to have been more!! OK...n as far as the 3600lb curb wight, ya, the car with me in bout 3200! But whatever, i had to have lost by so much more, thanks for remindin' why I WANTED THE LS2, but instead got lil brother LSJ!!! It's a cute lil thread tho really, nice ppl, great attitude!

As far as the LT1 comment, i meant it seems they have to do quite bit more than the LS1-2...for a reason which is most obvious!

I own a GTO now, (LS1 A4 STOCK), and had a stage 2 SS/SC (D4usot or something like that) car's now. I had some kid in a silver SS/SC over in boardman hammer his SS/SC out on 680 the other day....

He wouldn't line up against me, but he took off, and was fast. I caught up, and started pulling on him around 130-140......

I'll let you know what honestly happens if I line up against a SS/SC side to side. I honestly think it would be close, or a driver's race if the GTO was stock.

 

If your tracks altitude is close to those in NE Ohio...you'll probably run around 14 flat until you learn how to launch and get a decent 60. Once you do it's pretty easy to get mid 13s.
Actually it'll be easier to do this with the A4. ..and in the long run you will outrun most M6s because the notion on this board that the M6 get better ETs is just wrong. Thats why you see tons of 05-06 M6s also turining 14s...because of driver error with M6s. Look at all the GTO boards and you will see A4s at the top. 99% of the time a Cobalt SS/SC wins it's only beaten a poorly driven goat...not the car.

 

Now your talking my language!!! but stock 5.7 cant handle that much boost.

 

You are clearly new to GTO's if you truly belive all of that, the M6 will run circles around a A4 if driver skill is equal.

When you can beat one call it what you want, until then it's GTO.

Even then 9 out of 10 people will take a GTO vs SS/SC.

 

I've had mine for since march of 04 and have one of the fastest NA 04s in the country with about 200 track passes...nope not new...pretty damn experienced. Have helped run several GTO track rental at Norwalk. And if you knew GTOs you would have known who I am.

What the hell is this Need for Speed Prostreet?

 

I have more then a stage 2 and my buddy with his stock ls1 gto raped me on the freeway. He put atleast 2-3 cars on me up to 100 mph. The people that say they beat the gto's and are stage 2 or less are full of ****.

And the people that say they beat cobra's and vette's are full of **** and need to lay of the crack pipe.

Ummm a LS1 GTO will still hand a Stage 2 it's ass, a LS2 just adds a couple more lengths to the loss.

 

It's a stupid argument either way, it all depends on the cars, the modifications, the drivers, etc. Both cars are well suited for what they can and cannot do.

I like either car, and have owned either car, and there are a million other cars out there I would like to own, or admire.
