The last I checked roll racing isn't really racing and takes very little skill.

I don't think my car will make it to 110, it's a GM after all and they make junk.

I'm just messing around.

Now what GM needs to do if they stay in business is make an interior upgrade for the Cobalts. If they do a good job and stop using such cheap crap, I may be in for another Cobalt down the road.

Hey cookie cutter I was making a point that if we raced from a dig his awesome 119mph trap might out do me in the 1/4 but after that good bye GTO.

I don't think it is the cost of the materials but the design and placement of said materials that GM needs to fix. My local dealership gave me a newer Grand Prix to drive while my truck was in service this weekend and I couldn't belive the interior. I would love to know who the hell they are using as a test group to make decisions on interior styling and apperance.

But then again I like the simple layout of my 4th gen F-Bodies and C6 vs all the BS people need in homes not cars.

I love it. As for my "crying" on the M3 forum I asked a simple question, if anyone else has had any issues with any GTO guys cause of the CRAP going on in this place! I make 2 posts on the first page and suddenly I'm crying? Amazing, simply a-maz-ing!

It would have been cool to see how it turned out. A discontinued Australien built Pontiac against a phased out almost 10 year old German car against the very latest force inducted American compact car.

Talk about comparing apples to oranges to pinapples! A car still built the way American car companies did back in the 60's with an awesome V8 and plenty of tech to go along. A luxury/performance car that set the standard for the rest of the world. And an economy car on some really good roids. Nothing like an even playing field!

*sigh* I never said it was did I? I just think its funny how some people want to compair, quite violently for some, cars that were never ment to compeat with one another.

The GTO was built to be a point and shoot red light to red light street brawler (ever since its inception in 1964 by John Deloean) The M3 was built to be a road and rally racer from its inception (Tho its gotten WAY away from its roots over the years) And the Cobalt was ment to be good point "A" to point "B" dependable transportion with no frills.
All 3 do a great job but they all 3 do it differently.

I wouldn't call him old. But I guess it all depends on what your definition of an "old guy" is.

the new ones trap like 115...they do look good. But I'd buy the 335i coupe over the E92 M3 anyday. That V8 is so strung out, say hello to another fruitless aftermarket like with the E46 M3's

M6=a cobalt will never win, is that an answer?

M6= 500 HP, M3 is what 414? 335 is an underrated 300, anything else I missed Jack?

I understand that you always want to see what YOU own come out on top. But is all the hate really needed? Sure a little rivalry is fun and makes everyone faster and better in the end but some around here go way too far with it. I used to own a Cobalt, it was a great little car and I hated having to get rid of it but I scored a hell of a deal on this M so I jumped on it. I hang around here because a couple reasons. I have made friends here some of whom also no longer own Cobalts. And I like to help other people with thier cars and having both owned a Cobalt and worked for Chevy in the parts dept and as a tech its something I'm qualified for.

IMO the new M3 is WAY over priced and no longer what the car started out as. But to answer you if it was the M3 its 414 hp. M5 and M6's are in the 500+ hp range and have v10's under the hood. But they are small displacement V-10's un-like say a Viper. I'm not big into them but I believe they are around a 5 liter. The new M3 is a 4.4 liter V8 with an 8500 rpm red line I think.

Theres damn near no aftermarket cause its about maxed out from BMW. There's just not much left you can do to it.
