I wouldn’t put down $100 if I were you, he could easily be lying. I’ve seen and even raced a few REALLY nasty trucks. He could have a different turbo and you wouldn’t even know it. I’ve seen numerous trucks run in the 12s after that its starts getting more expensive to go faster but 12s can be done very easily in a Turbo Diesel. Most people don’t throw out money unless they know they’re going to win or there talking **** on the internet. If you accept and he backs out you’ll know he was bluffing if he goes through with it you might be coming home $100 poorer.

Doh! Reading owns me. We really need to find out the year, the 24valves are much easier to mod vs. the common rail, but that only becomes apparent when more mods (especially a programmer/box is the only thing involved). If he is truly using only a programmer then you should still pull him. He may get the jump having a 6-speed auto and of course, low end torque..but with out any supporting mods (injectors, catback, etc.) he will not be able to take full advantage of the programmer/box whichever he is using.
