well guys i couldnt think of a better title than that. Anyways i just got home from the gym and im at the final light till i turn in my neighborhood. this 300 pulled up next to me revving like a douche lol. challenge accepted. i hit the traction control, like a boss, bringing me to launch control. the light turned green and not for one second has he started to gain on me he stayed with me till 3rd, after that he was done. we went...well i went 90+ mph till i heard my five-0 detector go ape ****. i turned into my hood and though, i gotta tell my ss friends. so he is is guy my story lol...lets hear some of yours.

oh and btw i got a 09 ss/tc with a gms1 tune....thats all lol

suprised it stayed with you til the end of third since traction wasn't really a factor, it was probably an auto, and our 2-3 gears are pretty aggresive. i thought the torque of the hemi would kick in and it would hold it's own more at higher speeds.. nice kill though!

 

to my knowledge there is no such thing as a MT 300/Charger.

Correct, they are not available with a true manual transmission. They have that stupid -/+ notch in the gear selector lever that let's the driver slap the stick left for downshift, right for upshift, or leave it in the middle for regular Drive mode operation. It doesn't work as well as real paddle shifters and such. Not worth it to utilize the system, better to just run the car in Drive, which is what most people do.

SRT8's is where its at to race, if its not the new one. They are automatic most the time with a douche driver mod.

Those cars are soooo heavy lol. I was running a trifecta tune with a k&n drop in and beat an SRT8 chrysler from a 40 roll. It had an exhuast but probably nothing else. Now when he sees me around he just waves. I wouldn't hesitate to run any of the mopar srt cars bolt ons or not. Now, when you get into boosted SRT8s that is a whole different ball o wax right there. A decently modded SRT4 neon is as fast as most of the SRT8s near me anyways. And even a guy I know with an SRT8 challenger talks **** all day but will not run me. They just want everyone to be jealous that they overpaid for a 4500lb mopar product with a "HEMI" badge on it.

The SRT8 300C with just a tune and intake will run 12.7's with just a tune and intake... I ran one at the track in my 350Z. I would hate to see how disappointed he would have been had he had anymore done to it. Maybe from a roll would you win but where is the fun in that?

 

a guy on here with just a trifecta tune and intake (with radials of course FWD lol) ran a 12.5

holy **** i need a ss/tc, if your beating SRT8's with a tune. WOW! I work for chrysler and they are fast as hell!

Now older 300's will have 340 hp, newer will have 370, and the 5spd tranny in those is ****! its geared so wrong for a street car, all the power is in 2/3 gear, first gear ends at 53mph!!!! in a 5spd auto! you floor it from a stop in those cars and blllaaaaahhhhh.

 

Gotta watch out for the newest ones with that extra 50hp. Seen a few magazines take the new Charger/Challenger SRT8s deep into the 12's bone stock, trapping as high as 114.
