There is a Jeep SRT 8 running around here with 700+ to the wheels....its pretty brutal...boosted srt-8 aint no joke

new srt8's have the same 5spd auto....but have 470hp instead of 425! they fly!!!! especially the grand cherokees, they feel so god damn fast for an SUV.

 

I want to take my car to the 1/4 mile to see what it would trap... they are like 3 hours away though... I trapped 108mph in 13.7seconds (if I remember right) in my car with a K&N drop in and a trifecta tune. 114mph with a high 12 second ET is not all that impressive anymore with the new pony cars around. I would take a 5.0 stang or a camaro over a challanger in a second... Not to mention that for well over $40,000 that is an expensive way to be the slowest in the class.

If I had my E47 tune going, I wouldn't hesitate to run one. I put about the same amount of torque to the ground than one anyways.

Besides I ran a sexy looking black Challenger the other night. I thought it was an SRT8... but well it wasn't. I put a few buses on it right away. When I let him pass me later I saw it was only an R/T sooo I was kinda disappointed. It seems as though the guys around here with the SRT8s know when they are out matched, or at least have a good idea of when they are. Maybe the R/T guys could use some education.

 

R/T's for what they are, are suprisingly slow, I was driving a 09 6 speed at work the other day with corsa true duals and expected my socks to be blown off...... they are only rated at 1/4 14 flat and 5.9 secs 0-60 kinda weak for something with 370hp

 

Yea, their way too heavy to really roll on stock power level.

 

it is always fun beating down a douche like that. I do have to say though, I would have figured a much more lopsided outcome.
