1st run 35 roll.....i take off in 2nd and leave him from the get go by 5 car links when we hit 100.
2nd run 55 roll...i take off n 3rd and he gets me? but i pul hard on him and end up about 3-4 links by the time i hit 100

I saw a type-S today on the freeway with a fat intercooler smiling at my rearview mirror, complemented by a three-pillar gage cluster in the cockpit..How much do you think I woulda got whooped by if i woulda raced him?

if he is tuned the right way it woulda got nasty. untunned though it wouldn't be so bad.

that's the problem w/ a lot of honda owners and just any car modifier. you can't add a bunch of bolt-ons and do some head work w/out a tune. $1500 and you pulledhim that bad! he def. needs a tune and someone to teach him what the hell to do with his car!

How do we get "a tune?" Call me a newb, but do we just take it somewhere and say "tune this?" How does that work?

lol, now that's what i'm saying. well, you can really tune without some kind of tuning device. and the best, cheapest, and the most practical is an afc. particularly for the honda guys would be the Apexi VAFC. then you can tune your fuel:air to get the right mix and make the most hp.

a lot of honda guys (sorry to keep refering to hondas, it's really anyone in general) will get i/h/e/cams/port/polish sometimes like a skunk 2 intake manifold and then they won't tune it at all. with all those mods, you are making more power, but your running really lean. you got all this extra air flow and no additional fuel to take advantage of it. plus a VAFC will let you control your VTEC on a honda.

there are other ways to tune also like a wideband 02 gauge and then there is the best way which is a stand alone ecu. greddy emanage being the cheapest ecu unit.

or if you don't feel comfortable doing any of this yourself, take your car to a shop and ask for them to tune it with your additional mods.
