So on a local Facebook group a guy with a Z31 300ZX has self proclaimed himself as "the fastest Z31 around here" "it's making 450whp" and "it's the real deal". Guy owns a shop so this car was shop built. I happen to know a thing or five about Z31's so just looking at his engine bay I was fairly certain my backyard built Z31 could easily take this "shop car".
So I told him I wanted a run. He again reminded me that my car stood no chance against "ZX Auto Centers monster Z31". I told him I don't mind losing, I especially won't mind losing to a shop built car. I got more talk of how his is "the real deal" and he will walk my car. I have to race his little brothers Z31 first as he "takes care of all the light work".
Well I looked into the brothers car and all I can say is
if that is the car that takes care of the light work this will be a walk in the park. So I called the both out last week. I was told they weren't in town, but later that night I heard word that the shop car got beat by a Cobalt SS/TC. Turns out our very own member here Red Sun, layed the smack down on the 450whp shop car. Well that tells me he over estimated the power output by about 150whp. I called both of them out again last night and got no answer. I guess it doesn't help that someone told them about my car pulling a 490whp Cobra. I guess as long as they don't race me they can still claim to be the fastest Z31's around here

Oh every time I go out on Saturday night I have the camera along. I did get a quick run in with a Mustang GT it was absolute rape but I didn't have the camera mounted because it was a surprise thing on the way home lol
I had actually posted last night on the group on Facebook saying "Any Z31 want to get smacked around tonight?" but neither one of them responded lol

When we left the highway and got to a red light he asked if I was spraying. We did 2 more runs around 50mph. I took him again and the other time he brake boosted and got me about half a car till I started reeling him in but he shut down

Oh you should have seen the excuses being thrown around about you beating him. "He was running low boost". He was on 15psi. "He is running an automatic differential". The automatic uses the same diffs the manuals do lol. And the "the Cobalt was spraying". Even if you were he claims 450whp!

Well the one says they go to one spot every other weekend. When I asked which weekend they would be there I never got an answer. I really don't have the free time to play tag with these clowns lol. I doubt I catch them in the next month because I'm getting ready to go to PA for vacation.
This Saturday I decided to enter the 300 into a car show (its no show car by any means lol) hoping for the under construction class. The next Saturday I have my company picnic and my car clubs drag strip day, so I'll be busy with that. Then the 3rd Saturday I leave for PA for 2 weeks. I will most certainly catch these clowns, I just don't know when. Especially if I have to hunt their bitch asses down.
