So Id say the "rental" car that im driving is A LOT better then my cobalt. a 2006 bmw 330xi 255hp and 230tq.
Id say my cobalt would probably win in a race, but damn the bmw is secksy.

I feel the same exact way. I love/loved the cobalt, but my payments were high.

hey just a quick update... the damage guy came over today and looked at the car. Said he thinks its totalled, but he doesnt make the final decision, the insurance company does. He said hes going to press for a total. Which if thats the case Im going to get a beater for the rest of winter and save up for a big dp on a 2wd tb ss. probably an 06 or 07... Ive been researching and ive been seeing that the awd have tranny issues. were looking at black ones and blue ones.

yeah the only thing going crappy right now is that the ladies insurance isnt wanting to accept liability. Although the police report and the witness say its her fault.... Tonight the pierce county prosecuting attorney called and said that if they dont accept liability by tomorrow afternoon theyre going to press charges agains the lady for hit and run and then the courts will make them pay for everything. I will feel bad if they dont accept liabilty, nothing like a 78 yr old lady getting a felony for hit and run, haha!

Well the lady called from the medical side of their insurance and is offering 5000 to settle out of court... I was like YEAH HAHA, HELL NO. ive missed 5 days of work so far which is 1500, my drs bills so far are around 1500, and ive still got 3 weeks of massage and physical therapy that i have to go to 2 times a week. She wanted to start out at 1500... so it looks like ill have another car accident going to court.... btw they made the decision and the car is totalled.

That sucks! Well maybe for the best! Now you can get a new car that you want!

Lawyers FTL!!! Now you won't get anything for at least a year!

Last update for a while. Jan 09, 08
The cobalt is getting picked up by the tow truck today. Its been deemed a total loss with the damage adding up to over $17,000. I owed more then the car was worth, so gap insurance will cover the rest and I dont think Ill be seeing much money from that side of the issue. The medical side should be where Ill get "taken care of" Ill update again when i find out with that.

To all the cobalt owners; it was nice while it lasted, but in the future Ill be moving on to a much bigger and badder toy ;-) Ill be keeping it in the SS family
