Okay, so this really bothered me haha. I was dropping my gf off at school tonight when we were just cruising on the highway, cruise control on 65mph. When these four cars are coming on the on-ramp. So I switch to the middle lane (3 lane hwy) and I see 3 or 4 VW's gti's all different years and 1 Scion tC and Im like "oh cool." So Im just driving along when my gf is like wtf? And I look over and the kid in the scion is staring over with his window down and giving me the thumbs down? Thats never happend to me.. Im assuming he was just trying to hate on my car but I didnt really care, so I sped up a little to get away from them and then I got back to cruising. Really wasnt in the mood to race, plus I dont like endangering lives, especially not over a scion tc lol.

Then a minute later out of no where I see headlights coming up quick and its getting close, and it was a yellow 4 door turbo'd vw hatch, so I'm like **** this guy and as soon as he's almost even with me I drop it and speed up, he got a little ahead of me but I stopped him from pulling and I was catching up right when we were coming onto some traffic around 110-120. So I let off and hit the brakes within really safe distance and that pull ended with him ahead and it seriously pissed me off thinking he can do a ricer flyby and walk away thinking he won a race. AND THEN the ****** in the scion comes up again and give me the thumbs down, so my gf flips him off and he flipped me off but upside down? Idk wtf he was doing and I was just aggrivated at this point, so I get away from them again.

Then as I dont really see them anymore I'm coming up on a 2 lane bridge... Just down to cruising speeds again when another different set of VW headlights come up on me... Riding my ass because the other lane is full. It makes me wicked paranoid when people ride my ass so I just went wide open and left him, then when i let off he caught up a little then got off the next exit...

I was just aggrivated at this point... Idk wtf the guy in the Scion was trying to do, especially because the bitch wasnt trying to run me, and I'm especially pissed that the guy in the yellow vw is walking away thinking he won...

It bothered me enough that I figured I'd post it here... What do you guys think?

 

I would of done a nice break check to the one that was riding your ass. He's at fualt for rear ending you. Atleast here in Ohio.

But I feel your pain. I've had a few ricer VW's try to mess with me. I normally ignore them till they go away

 

I was going to, but he was so ******* close to me, I didnt wanna risk him hitting me lol. Im pretty sure he was waiting for an openning to try and fly around me.

I was trying to ignore them but that god damn scion man... haha

 

I would of done a break check. And hope he hits me hard enough to hit something else and total this car

OP, let them do the racer fly by. It's control my boy, control. You know you can beat them, if you want to make them look like an ******* just start slowing down, if they are dumb or have enough *****, they will do the same and you can crush their spirit and rip their hearts out. I did that to a SRT-8 300C the other day. 40 roll, I spun past him in 2nd shifted to 3rd and let off at like 100mph while I was putting the second bus on him. Then he did a ricer fly by, but he knows a $20,000 cobalt just riped his butthole to pieces... It's more satisfying to make them play your game when they lose rather than fall into their game and win.

I know a few that are cool. The GTI and GLI aren't fast unless the bottom is built. They can get up to our power levels really quick if they put in a lot of money. But that makes it kind of not worth while.

Sounds like you were in taunton ....faggits im shocked there wasnt a hatchy in this story...dont drive like a dick in this weather let them crash and go by laughing...low and slow my friend its only funny when they get in trouble

 

I had a similar story with a young kid in a white evo x. He was crusing with 4 or 5 of his friends cars and gave me the thumbs down trying to show off. After I put 5 cars on him from a 40mph roll his friends came up to me and gave me the thumbs up LOL. He caught back up to me and screamed out the window that his AC was on.

About 6 months later I ran back into this guy in traffic and got him to put his window down...I asked him if his AC was still on in front of his girlfriend and rolled away laughing.

The Scion was just trying to get under your skin... and sounds like he succeeded. As for tailgaters, I generally start gradually slowing down until they can't take it anymore and do the ricer flyby. Stay cool and wait for a clear shot. If not, let them be tards. Like was said, don't let them suck you into their game.

Maybe the 10 year old Jettas that your pals have. Try running a '10+ GTI or other similar power/weight ratio car with somebody who isn't 15 years old behind the wheel and see what the outcome is.

 

i dont have friends with jettas...... im not going to argue about this.

 

 

i win every time... they are slow, even with the stage 3 upgrade.
