It probably has more to do with the ridiculous cost of upgrades on euro cars. I want a 2007-08 Audi RS4. 400hp and 320lbs/torque +/- out of a na V-8... Imagine what a twin turbo could do for that beast... even running like 8lbs muahahahah and awd. I would rock one... too bad they are so spendy.

Yep... It's a 2006 TC250... 4 stroke, Titanium exhaust (Arrow), Magura Jack hydrolic pull clutch, Aluminum fat bars, ohlins shock, marzocchi shiver fork, excel takasagos, pirelli tires, ek chain, sunstar sprockets, and oh yea its bone stock. I have put my time in on the japanese bikes 125, 250 (4 and 2 stroke), 450, even a 500cc 2stroke (worked in a honda/yam/kaw/zuk dealership from 2003-2006), this is far and away better than them. The suspension is a beast... like *** in my pants when I charge through whoops epic. I'll be buying a TC510 this summer/fall. But they recently went ghetto on the suspension. They aren't like freak show no link KTMs they are really nice bikes that I have really torn up deserts and tracks on.

haha wow epic threadjack

What class do you ride? In Cali it must be different... because here in New England they are notoriously known as the worst choice for motocross. I mean I never rode one so I really cant say based on personal opinion, but one of my fathers friend, who races Vet A class at Loretta Lynns and such, had two huskys shipped to him at low price (sponsorship) and they were ehh, but he broke his back riding them. Needless to say he doesnt ride them anymore, but honestly who knows if it was even the bikes fault he crashed? I cant remember if he said he hated them, or he loved him but the moral of the story is I've heard nothing but bad things about them.

Purchase a electric cut-out, it will put and end to douche bags on the highway.

Something about going from a quiet exhaust to all hell breaking loose makes people think twice, its also effective against douche bags that rev you at stop lights.

Out here in california I ride in WIDE OPEN desert. Flat out in 5th gear over 3-4 foot deep whoops is a rather common thing in Ocotillo Wells. If you watch the riding viedos from out here you still don't get an appreciation for the magnitude of the destruction out there. The suspension is where most bikes either shine or are destroyed. The suspension on it is perfection from the factory, I have spent thousands on yamahas and hondas to get a suspension not this good. I run desert races out here and the suspension gets better and better the harder you push it. But 06 is pretty much considered the best year because after that they went to a sachs suspension all around, if I remember correctly.

And I look over and the kid in the scion is staring over with his window down and giving me the thumbs down? Thats never happend to me.. Im assuming he was just trying to hate on my car but I didnt really care, so I sped up a little to get away from them and then I got back to cruising. Really wasnt in the mood to race, plus I dont like endangering lives, especially not over a scion tc lol.

Then a minute later out of no where I see headlights coming up quick and its getting close, and it was a yellow 4 door turbo'd vw hatch, so I'm like **** this guy and as soon as he's almost even with me I drop it and speed up, he got a little ahead of me but I stopped him from pulling and I was catching up right when we were coming onto some traffic around 110-120. So I let off and hit the brakes within really safe distance and that pull ended with him ahead and it seriously pissed me off thinking he can do a ricer flyby and walk away thinking he won a race. AND THEN the ****** in the scion comes up again and give me the thumbs down, so my gf flips him off and he flipped me off but upside down? Idk wtf he was doing and I was just aggrivated at this point, so I get away from them again.

Then as I dont really see them anymore I'm coming up on a 2 lane bridge... Just down to cruising speeds again when another different set of VW headlights come up on me... Riding my ass because the other lane is full. It makes me wicked paranoid when people ride my ass so I just went wide open and left him, then when i let off he caught up a little then got off the next exit...

I was just aggrivated at this point... Idk wtf the guy in the Scion was trying to do, especially because the bitch wasnt trying to run me, and I'm especially pissed that the guy in the yellow vw is walking away thinking he won...

It bothered me enough that I figured I'd post it here... What do you guys think?
When I saw you use the word "wicked" I knew right away that you were from MA. I look over to the left and sure enough, your from Mass.

If it makes you feel better I raped a new R32 from a 60mph roll.

Haha, I didnt even notice lol. And those R32's can be quick, I had a friend from England who wanted to sell me his right hand drive one, wanted too much for it though.

It's always the owners though, I used to own a WRX, I do love Subarus, but when I bought the balt people got pissy. Now I have some kid trying to talk **** to me saying that his "04 rex" will rape me with just a tune, he's like, "all the stuff Im gonna do my scoob will rape you, even with just a tune, and even if you beat me I'll still have more hp" then he goes on to say, "its a ******* cobolt, regardless. its a supercharged hotwheels car." Im going to run him

I raped my friends 07 Scoob with bolt ons and a tune, running my current setup. Sexy car but the AWD kills his torque from a roll. lol! Now hes got a gt30r and i cant take him from a roll... Well see once i get the BNR 2871 tho!!
Also my friend out here had a 03 GTI with a gt35r turbo, fully built putting down 530whp. That thing was a monster, turbo didnt spool till like 4000-4500rpms tho, only downside. thats the only VW thats ever beat me, and ive raced quite a few out here.

A 10 GTI? That's lunch, even to a stocker SS/TC, and an SC with mods should walk on them with comfort.

Try this - this afternoon I had an older lady in a 98 or so Civic, with a Handicap tag on her rear view mirror, try to out accelerate me.

Man, I almost let her win, just to make her feel good.

just an fyi: vw gti's are using K03 turbos, whereas cobalt ss turbo is using k04 (better). I'd put money on a ss turbo gms1 walking any gti chipped+bolted while early shifting all day long. I know this cus ive owned and raced both.

GTI's are slow unless a significant amount of work is done to them. Particularly the mk5 as a result of the cam/cam follower/ low side fueling issues experienced in the 2.0tfsi motor. Essentially, just an ecu flash maxes out the fueling system and they experience fuel cut etc. Pushing past that mark requires a pretty decent investment.

Older GTI's i wouldnt worry about too much, their either waaay out of a stock class or a work in progress just to keep em on the road.

Fastest VW I ever saw was a turbo'd mk4 R32 vr6 on our way to H2Oi. That thing blew the doors off our audi b5 s4 which was very very far from stock. I havent seen anything move that fast since. It was bonkers. Needless to say that car scoffed at the mention of any 1/4 mile guess over single digits.

Your hailing to a 2010 gti? Really. 210 horsepower at the crank with a VERY slight advantage in weight. 0- 60 in about 7 seconds. I call drivers race between a gti and STOCK SS/SC and cake for a t/c. Quarter mile of mid 14's (generous) and trap of 95-98 mph.

APR - High Performance Development for Audi, VW and Porsche Vehicles.

I can't get over the quality of materials on those cars, and not just the GTI, but VAG in general. The ability to easily make them much faster, coupled with the quality of workmanship, has me sold over the Cobalt SS.

I dunno, my neighbor has a 2010 VW. It looks ok but its slow, granted its stock. I'm not any more impressed with the build quality of their engines in comparison with ours. The interior, haha well you know. But it takes alot more work to get good amounts of power from the GTI or GLI. Now when it comes to audi I *** in my pants when I think about boosting a B7 RS4. It's not that I hate VWs its just that it takes alot to make them go fast. Watch out for boosted R32s though.

It does not take a "lot more work" to make "good amounts of power." Are you kidding? Go to the link I just posted and read.

PS Husqvarna ftw! I miss my 07 SMR 510.

Actually yea I did check the linky earlier. I kinda got stuck on the Audi stuff at first haha but I did check out hte VW stuff. And $5,000 for a turbo upgrade kit to get less power than I have... Like I said they have a nice interior. They are nice cars and a 500whp one is definitely doable, I have seen some, very fast. But that takes a built lower end. I have a friend, not my neighbor, who was going to do this to a GLI 1.8 (I believe) and it would have cost alot of money. So, yes they can be made fast but dang it sure is a rougher road than we have to put up with cuz our blocks can handle some serious powwwwaaaaa!!!

I love the 510, my buddy just got a brand spankin new one last month... Right after I sold mine... I'll be getting a 450 or a 510 this summer. You can actually get 510s around here cheaper cuz no one wants to ride them??? Lame... I want arm stretching torque.

Hooligan bikes ftw!

You can get the Stage II reflash for the GTI and make decent power for a relatively low cost. I like daily driving the GTI because the torque is awesome. My SS S/C doesn't make **** for tq. I have to rev it up like a ricer to move out.

are you serious? i have a mark IV golf. worst mistake ive ever made. cost me half as much as the car did on repairing just so i can keep it on the road. plus a fully bolted on and tuned 1.8t with stock turbo like mine will barely make 220-230 whp and even less torque. thats not easy power in my book. plus im not impressed with the build quality. it rattles and squeaks more than any of the 3 gm cars in my garage. hell whenever im in the car and the car is cold the stock exhaust rattles, now i guess you can say that it is because i lowered it a good amount but ive never heard of that on static cars especially with stock exhausts.

so all in all, sure it is a good bit older, but imo it doesnt live up to the image everyone likes to give vws and even german cars in general.
