Good point. It wouldn't be prudent for us to be talking about whether we could beat some unimported european car, so Canadians without GTO experience fall into that Wonderland category, and would be paper racing if they speculate.
Not saying they wouldn't be able ot win though, that still holds no bearing. They just have a long drive ahead of them.
I side with you on this one. I don't think a 99mph SHO can hold a candle to a modded Ion, even if the Ions are made out of recycled baby diapers.

I grew up in Australia. I grew up with the Holden Monaro. I have spent more time around your precious GTO, than it has even been available in the US.

I've owned a LS1 GTO as well as a LS2 GTO and now own a Cobalt. Right now the balt is just a lil slower than the my LS1 was (only went to the track once with the 'balt). With the LS2 GTO I was one of the fastest in my region (never got to finish my N2O kit), so I know what it takes to go fast with these cars.
I have 2 years of time slips from a NHRA nationals track but have yet to see any from some of the trolls that come here and say that thier car is faster bacause "I say so so it's a fact." Carp like that is the "E- Racing" they claime they to be so far above. Every race is a drivers race, HP just helps make up for a lack of skill.
