I will be the first to admit I lost in my 500+rwhp GTO. It was against a Mini Cooper S that little **** hooked and took off me on the other hand I just got the car back from being tuned making 350rwtq @ 2500 rpm on the stock 235's don't mix well with the street and short shifting didn't help. But by 3rd gear I had him covered by a very long bus.

Can you trap 110ish to take down an LS2 from a roll? No flaming, just curious. We all know what a 270whp balt will run (which seems common with pulley's, and tunes, and injectors.....), so it will take around 300ish to do it (270 should be good for the stock LS1's). I bet there are only a handful on these boards that actually can, and it would have to be a stock one at that. I do enjoy checking out some of the stories on here every now and then. There are a few on the GTO boards that have wishful dreams as well, like beating a M5 in M mode, or pulling a 05 Viper, or even hanging next to a C6 Z06 until 100. When real car guru's just know, we then provide some insight. Like if a base RSX would have said they hung next to a SS/SC, we would be there to shine some light on that as well. Its what car people do when they know. How many of you have talked to that guy who thinks they are into cars and are just giving complete and utter BS? We then correct them whether by words or physical demonstrations. Being a GTO owner and hearing both sides of the story it sounds right to me. Can we talk about another car next time? How about we try a 335I, that sound good? Until next time!

as they should. The only reason anyone should be roll racing is when you are pushing enough power for it to be dangerous to go from a dig on the street. Just learn to launch guys i mean jesus, don't turn into honda owners all i see is roll racing on here.

launching is part of racing. There is a reason high performance cars usually use rwd or awd, you gotta work with what you have though, don't only do what you are good at. If everyone raced only in their sweet spots you would never see sti's going from a roll or racing to anything above 80. Just at least do both!

He has Headers, catless midpipe, exhaust, intake, ported throttlebody and a badass tune pushing 330whp and 335wtq.
I have intake, muffler (el farto canno), 2.8" pulley, 42# injectors.
We went from a 40 roll. when we went, i got the jump by about a half a second and jumped out a car ahead. we were even & when he shifted to third at 60mph i jumped a few inches more, but then once i got into third, he passed me up big time. by 90mph he was about a car ahead & we both shut down.
My same friend in the GTO raced a cobalt with intake, headers, catless DP, exhaust, 2.7" & 60# injectors & they were dead even from 40mph all the way to 110-115mph... no one gained anything.
....i wonder if this thread will hit 50+ pages????

From a 40 roll you might be able get like 1 car jump, but as soon as you hit ~100 he will start pulling fast.
