Who said anything about the interstate? Even if I was talking about the interstate, the girl in the passenger seat ALWAYS cares who wins. The only thing better than walking away from a muscle car is the combined longing and disappointment you see in a female passenger's eyes as she fades into the mirror glare.

Considering how fast you think your little pony is and how little you think of your Cobalt, I'd take the bet against the Cobalt. It doesn't sound like you've done enough to it to realize what it's capable of.

What Mustang do you drive again? I hope it's more than another bolt on 2V.

Wait wait wait. No, you've got the RICER muffler delete mod and a drop in on the cobalt. You'll get me. ROFL!!!

Oh noez! It's the 3V. I'm so scared!

LOOKIT LOOKIT! We're bench racing cross country!

With what mods both my 3v has and what mods my Cobalt has, I have tested the theory to see what car was faster of the two, and from both a dig and roll, the Cobalt doesnt win. From a dig, the Mustang wins by quite a few cars, and from a roll its closer, but the Mustang still wins. And if you actually paid attention, you would realize and know that there are tons of guys on here who have done the muffler delete and k&n drop-in filter. You must seriously be like 12 years old or something because you dont pay attention to nothing and you dont know ****. I guess I should have just stuck to the other forums I was on, because atleast they didnt have little teenagers who think their car is the **** and cant lose to anything.

Unless you trap over 130, 1/4 mile racing is just a way for heavy, underpowered (mostly domestic V8) guys to puss out before they get passed.

Like I said before, those with more power than excuses love roll racing. All I see here is excuses and whining.

Tear the Mustang posters off your wall man. You're just another fanboi.
Are you ******* kidding me.

First you drive an HHR from what I’ve seen has a tune only. So I doubt it beats much of anything from a roll or dig.

Second people that only roll race and don't race at the track are ****** that are too afraid to race at a track, can't launch there car from a dig, bought the wrong car (fwd) for racing, or a mixture of the above.

Third a car that traps 105 would walk you from a roll or dig so why does a car need to trap 130 to race at a track.

I think you need to take a step back a look at what you drive again before you run your mouth about V8 guys getting passed because the only V8 I see you passing isn’t in a car built for speed.

HAHA do you really believe the **** you say?

If you honestly think beating a car gets you ***** or disappoints the girl in the other car you have a rude awakening coming to you. Most girls don’t give a ****, I’ve honestly been with one girl that even half assed cared whether I beat a car or not or about my car at all.

Once again you drive a HHR with a tune and you think you would beat his GT or his TC? The HHRs barley trap over 100mph. Which means it aint **** from a roll either.

By the way a bolt on 2V would rock from a roll FYI.

Do you have any racing experience at the strip or a track or are you just being a little whiney boy that has a front wheel drive car? The reason front wheel drive always wants a roll is because you guys are at the bottom of the food chain from a dig. Traction is part of a car's performance. When you are in a running race with someone do you set a starting point for the race 30 ft from where you are standing? No way. You start the race from a stop. Racing from a dig is the way to judge a cars true performance. Racing from a roll is way to judge power to weight ratio. Who's car is faster if you can pull me by half a car from 100-130 but from 0-130 im ahead of you by ten cars? Mine is.

Maybe if you would have actually read my posts, you would see that I own both cars in question, an 08 SS/TC and an 05 Mustang GT. I'm trying to give out some info on how both cars perform against each other and now I'm all the sudden a Mustang fanboi and swinging on Mustangs nuts? I dont get that at all, I aint saying a damn thing negative about my SS/TC at all, but for some reason it seems like I'm getting talked down to just because I own a Mustang.

And I'm not saying all Cobras and Supras are dyno queens, because I know of many that arent, but there are tons out there that are pushing way over 500rwhp and cant hook for **** and run 12's all day long. Traction has alot to do with drag racing, and there are some cars out there with all the power but no traction, which is what is called a dyno queen.

I could care less what is going on here, but...

...I'd be interested to see how your "test" turns out when you tune your cobalt like you tuned your Mustang.

I'll be interested too, but I probably wont be getting a tune until next race season begins. And maybe if SCT came out with a tuner for the SS/TC I'd get one sooner, because I paid just over $700 for my intake and the tuner for my Mustang.

What exactly did you do to your rims and where did you find a carbon fiber hood? I think the rims would look badass on my black SS/TC, especially once I get the tint done. Thanks

Isn't it sad that individual's future vehicle purchases (myself included) are now going to be influenced by what applications a certain tuning software supports?

i sanded my rims, primed them then used gloss black engine paint (like 3 coats) then i waited a week and wetsanded them i put 2 more coats of gloss black and then put a shitload of clearcoat . i let them dry overnight then waxed them. i think they would be sick on a black balt and as far as the carbon fiber hood i got it off of here for $300 because the guy didnt have his balt anymore its an oem vis hood.

Yes it is very sad, but like I said, I got my intake and tune from SCT for my Mustang for just over $700. The Hahn tuner is $1000 and hard telling how much an intake will be.

Damn that's alot of work, but they sure look very nice. That and I drive my car to work when I go to work. Either way I think it would look nice and I might have to look into it. Thanks

Intake is not necessary and any performance shop w/ HPT can dyno tune your car for cheaper than the intake/tune was from SCT for your Stang...

There isnt a dyno shop around here that I know of. There are shops, but none have a dyno. I would probably have to go to Nashville or possible Memphis to get something like that done. And then I would have to make sure they know how to tune with HPtuners. I would honestly like to just buy the HPtuners program myself and tune the car myself with a laptop, but I just havent messed with it to know how. That and I can retune my Stang with it aswell. But who knows, I might just end up getting the Hahn tuner sometime down the road.

That's what Chris (my friend) has. He got it dyno tuned though at Alternative Auto. Flash tuners are where it's at in my opinion. Being able to change on the fly is great. Accessport ftw!

Alternative Auto is who tuned my car. Lido did a hell of a job and I'll be going back to him in the summer for a retune with nitrous.

He does good mail order tunes but he can't tune a car for **** on the dyno. He dicked my car up bad and I always had drivability problems with his tunes.

Yeah that is all I got from Brenspeed was a mail order tune.

A muffler delete isn't a mod, ricer.

From a dig, the Mustang wins by quite a few cars, and from a roll its closer, but the Mustang still wins.
Run a tuned 'balt with a decent driver from a roll and see what happens. From a dig... well that depends on whether or not you puss out at 1/4 mile trap speeds. Your "modded" Cobalt has a drop in filter that may or may not yield any horsepower, and a muffler delete that will probably have the same results. Multiple tuners have said that stock intake and cat-back exhaust are good until you're over 300whp. The only thing you modded was your wallet.

And if you actually paid attention, you would realize and know that there are tons of guys on here who have done the muffler delete and k&n drop-in filter.
Drop in, fine, that might yield a horsepower or two, but cutting your muffler out? That's as ricey as it gets. If there were actually gains to be had, you might be able to consider it a mod, but it doesn't even get you any horsepower! I don't care Bob Lutz cuts out his muffler too, you're still a ricer.

You must seriously be like 12 years old or something because you dont pay attention to nothing and you dont know ****. I guess I should have just stuck to the other forums I was on, because atleast they didnt have little teenagers who think their car is the **** and cant lose to anything.
No, I've taken my losses and posted them on youtube. And yes, you should take your Mustang fanboi bull back to the Mustang forums and come back here when you're ready to mod the Cobalt without using a Sawzall.

Who ever said I only roll race? I prefer roll racing because I think it's a much more objective comparison of the straight line acceleration a car is capable of, greatly reducing variables like driver skill, suspension, drivetrain configuration, and tires. I don't really care about that stuff unless there's turning involved. But you drive a muscle car so you don't know anything about that....

Third a car that traps 105 would walk you from a roll or dig so why does a car need to trap 130 to race at a track.
Oh really? Several mods ago I trapped 104.XX with full interior, the spare, jacks, floormats, and everything else in the car. It was my second time EVER at the track, and the first with the HHR. I'm pretty sure there are a few mph in there.

What fun is there in barely going faster in the speed limit? I do that on the way to work every day.

I think you need to take a step back a look at what you drive again before you run your mouth about V8 guys getting passed because the only V8 I see you passing isn’t in a car built for speed.
Built for speed... like a Mustang?

I never said I got ***** because I won a race. You're taking that way too far. But I have made a girl pretty disappointed in her boyfriend and the car I'm sure he is so proud of.

Once again you drive a HHR with a tune and you think you would beat his GT or his TC? The HHRs barley trap over 100mph. Which means it aint **** from a roll either.
Tune, tires, and intercooler HHR's are in the 12's with the 'balts. You're an ignorant tool.

By the way a bolt on 2v would rock from a roll FYI
Rock the ground with all of the useless noise those things make while they go... nowhere? Rock my taillights? Rock my exhaust fumes? Rock at drafting from behind?

Here's one last vid with a new driver in a tune only 08 SS/TC vs a local 3v and a Z28 with heavy bolt-ons.
