You would be surprised how many people, other than a majority of ignorant mustang owners, have no clue what it is. Without the big ass wing everyone thinks it's just another Ion coupe.
i read those post and for the most part they seemed pretty damned cool about it. so of you guys would rather believe all stang owners are dicks, huh? i saw quite a bit of love being shown there.

haha 200 at the crank? nos? that guy with the altima is a moron, trying to argue with a cobalt owner? those mustang guys eemed pretty sool about it. i love how the cobalt/ions are so underestimated. especially now with the TC out, they'll kinda slip under the radar.

Every car make has it's share of dumb owners. . . look through the pics section here and you'll find a few. . . people still putting underbody neons on cars, and slapping bolt ons to non-sc/tc'd cobalts/ions and thinking they need a shift light.
Making a generalized statement about the owners of a certain brand/make of cars is one step above making rascist comments in terms of ignorance.
at least, he should have been, that's about what my 04 gt/96 cobra/94 gt/06 gt went into, with gears between 3.27-3.73, give or take 5mph.

Yeppers. I got called a ricer by a lightly modded V6 stang once because of my A-pillar boost gauge. Guess my de-badged, low-pro wing'd S2 looked like a base coupe. Nevermind the "SS" stitching on the seats, or the badge above the glove box.
I got him in my car and gave him the 0-60 show, then stopped and popped the hood. He didn't call me a ricer after that

I've seen mechanics get surprised when popping the hood and finding a super charger there. Those cars AREN'T popular.

funny... just got raped by a mustang GT from a dig.
All i have is a CAI with all my toys ready to bolt on (3.0 pully, hp tuners, 60s, dual pass, option b, etc) however i wanted it as a comparison.
Off the line he got a 2 car lead on me during my wheel spin bonanza, however i was pulling up to him on my 3rd before we had to stop. My brakes just werent working how they should and it was city traffic so made it rough.
Either way, ill find out how i do after i put all this garbage on this weekend or next.
btw the guy with a mustang is a good friend of mine, so it wasnt a grudge match.
