the night after i raced the vette i ran my other friend in his foxbody. forged stock stroke/bore, built topend(powerband 4-8k), not sure what gear probably 3.73, 5spd car and a 150shot. he ran 7.20@100 on spray 7.90@85 on motor.
we start the race on motor at 40-45, i spin through 2nd we both hit 3rd and i pull a fender,by the time i get to 4th he has 5-6 cars on me. he sprayed when i started to pull lol.

In all your posts I keep seeing spinning through 2nd.

Spinning thorugh 2nd > You

Get your torque management turned down in 2nd, and stop spinning all the way through 2nd.

 

I'm on bald conti's, if I were replacing them with the same tire I would completely agree with tqmngmnt. but the cars due for tires and I'm gonna go with a stickier compound 245.

 

I got hankook RS3s and they work great... Well now that I'm on E85/91 they spin again but thats 400+ lbs/trq in a fwd car for you.
