LSJ Mods: 2.7,60's,zzp longtube and stock piping with magnaflow muffler, dual pass , option b, otp 3" intake. Trifecta gm stg 3 tune

Focus ST mods: Full bolt ons and tune.

Lol and people still hate on the balt

 

I have a 2.0 eb escape, which is the same engine as the focus ST. The Fst is a great car, but in stock form, it has a single scroll k03 turbo. This damn thing is out of breath at like 6k rpm and maybe 80mph. Fully bolted and tuned on 91/93 oct is like 280 ish hp. Someone on a stock ported/big wheel k03 turbo w/ e30 etc JUST hit 300hp. The only way to get big power is a big turbo swap. Otherwise the engine holds up great!

From a stop the k03 makes it feel quick, but ya high rpm or above 60mph it kind of is breathing thin air.

ST's torque curves are gawd awful... downhill skiing anyone??

 

yeah the owner of the ST wanted a 50 roll so i gave it to him.

 

I'm browse the focus st forums for info, but man you should see/hear them think their cars beat everyone... I mean, I'll give the turbo swap guys credit, theirs is fast. But these stock k03 guys must race slow ****'s...

I traded my balt for the hhr.
i thought beating on the ms3,wrx and st's was fun in the 4door balt.
it's even more fun in my black box

Power wise sure, the ms3 is low. But my ms3 may of been a freak, or I just pulled against lower modded srt4's and lsj/lnf's. But yes, the ms3 also needs a big turbo to make power, as it is a single scroll k04, but something still holds it back from making easy power like the lnf.

 

Well I just beat another car this morning. A new mustang gt. unsure of the year and unsure of mods. It was a good race but I kept pulling on him.

 

I had a run with a 2015 gt about 2 weeks ago. Pretty sure it was stock . 6speed car. He hit it before me from 50 and i pulled past him in 3rd and lifted

 

idk what year this mustang was. Probably like a 2010 or something I can't tell too much when it comes to mustangs but it wasn't automatic. All I know is he goes to my school and it's not stock. Don't know the kid but my goal was to find him on the street before school in the morning so I could race him. Last week of school this week and caught him at a red light today. took off and smoked him and then we did a roll from 60 and I went after he started goin, I still beat him. Not that it was a good race cause it was but that's another win for the Balt.

I just saw a post the other day of a turbo swapped ST (5557 IIRC) getting beat by a stock turbo LNF lol
