Put a 2012 gt500 in that race and the same thing would have happened. If it was a dig race i think the zl1 would have taken the boss. Auto is also hurting the power from a roll.
You really need to reread what I said. Stock for stock yes a GT-R is faster because it's AWD. You can go buy that $100k car that always has transmission problems if you use the competition mode (And it also voids your warranty). I'll buy a $50-60k car and put some mods on it and beat that car's ass like no tomorrow.
Meh. For $100k, I'd buy a Boss and a GT500, the ZL1 is way overrated. And plus I've sat in a Camaro and the blind spots are horrible. Needs a lot of work for me to buy one.
Exactly, thank you for having the knowledge unlike some

No it wouldn't of.. the boss barely pulled.. the gt500 has 100 HP to the wheels over the zl1
And????? It proved nothing to me. I said you can buy a GT-R. Ok now follow me on this. A GT-R cost what $90k? I'm guessing cause I don't know too much about them. I said I would take that same amount of money ($90k) and buy a GT500 or whatever else and put the rest of the money in mods and it would beat your GT-R. Again. You need to reread what I said. It's not my fault you couldn't comprehend the first or second time.
I think he's talking about what you get for your money so if you're spending $90-100k and you buy a GT500 then you have $30-40k (and you don't need that much) to spend on mods to make the GT500 quicker than a GTR. if the GTR owner spends more money in mods, the GT500 can spend that same amount of money and still be quicker. with the new GT500, you only need drag radials and maybe a tune to beat a GTR's ET since the GT500 already traps higher. and you can run all day long in a GT500 not just 4 runs.

And they only broke transmissions because of faulty launch control programming.
I never said anything about them breaking. I would bet that they are less reliable than the manuals in the GT500 or ZL1 and the traditional auto in the ZL1 but the reason why I said 4 runs is because their launch control is disabled after 4 runs and, according to reviews, 0-60 times and 1/4 mile ET drop by about 0.5 s without launch control.
a lot of the money you're putting in the ZL1 is in the suspension. you're getting basically the same technology in the CTS V for almost $20k less. IL review said that the ZL1 was quicker in the twisties than the new GT500 so it would definitely beat a bolted and tuned 5.0 on a track and lose on a strip (stock).
You get your $90k or whatever it takes to buy a GT-R ok? I take that SAME amount of money, buy a GT500 and put the remaining amount in mods. Ok? So we would both spend the SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the GT500 will kick your cars ass. Ok pumpkin?
And btw. If I'm buying a muscle car, it's for the dragstrip, not the road course...........
How the hell did a GTR come into this conversation? If I'm paying $90k for a car, it sure as hell better be a better overall car then a $60k car.
Too bad GTR's have already made themselves a horrible reputation.
