you end up braking earlier when you drive while high. Your attention to details are delayed by alot and focusing is gone.

lol ya bud.. because everything on the internet is accurate and one study done with only 3 people accurately represents the millions out there..

i don't care if you smoke it daily or not you are impaired on some level. that level differs from person to person and noone can tell what that level is.. and you definately can't judge yourself just because you "feel fine".

i feel fine after only 1 beer. doesn't mean i'm not over the legal limit regardless and impaired to some extent even if it is small.

you may be fine behind the wheel high but some people aren't.. so rather than try to figure out who is somewhat sober and who is blitzed and in total denial that they are high, it's better to just keep it off the road rather than take a chance IMO.

just because you feel ok to drive, doesn't mean you are.

i'm sure the drunk guy that was behind the wheel is convinced he's ok to drive when he's throwing up all over the cops shoes during his roadside test too.

the effects may differ but the fact that you are impaired doesn't. that's just about every stoners justification.. "ya but drinking is worse!"

apples to oranges my ass. DUI is DUI whether it's alcohol, THC, or prescription meds with a warning label telling you not to operate..

a person showing no visible signs of being drunk can still blow over the legal limit and be charged even though they "feels fine" and look fine to a third party. being impaired doesn't always mean it's blatantly obvious to you or others around you..

you can do whatever you want and try to justify it any way you please. i don't care. we are not going to agree on this.. you are impaired to some extent while high, and if you weren't then there would be no point in smoking it and you would be throwing your money away..

I'm not on the side of stoned people driving but you make it sound like two people with the 0.08 BAC are both gonna be just as impaired as each other.

I know they needed to pick a number and it just happened to be .08. I'd almost prefer 0 over .08 just because .08 is completely different for all drivers.

x2. I've done it. But if I'm too high which happens to me easily then it's not fun. A little I really don't feel any bad effects the music just sounds better.

Incorrect, and far from the truth, but everyone's tolerance is different.

I know and that is my argument. two people who drink or smoke the same amount are affected differently and there is no way to tell who will be safe to drive and who won't be. I agree. it should be 0. what's the point in drinking half a beer? unless you are 300lbs then you might get away with one full beer.

2 beers is generally considered the legal limit. Not one, not a half

Canadian beer is generally stronger than US beer. There is no amount of beers that determines intoxication or legal limit. everyone's body size and tolerance is different.

Marijuana and Driving: A Review of the Scientific Evidence
yet again i must remind you not everything on the internet is fact. that article is full of biased crap. example #1: high drivers are aware of their intoxication and adjust their driving accordingly. so driving slowly means your safe? um no .. driving too cautiously can be just as dangerous. AND in the video someone posted earlier showed that the higher the regular smoker got, the more brazen and cocky she got behind the wheel which shows that statement isn't neccessarily true and can be disproven by other studies..

For every test that says it's not dangerous, there is a test contradicting it saying it is. i know it impairs you and i know that any kind of impairment is not good when operating a vehicle.. period.

not only can i speak from personal experience having been dumb enough to do it myself when i was younger, i can speak from the sober point of view of watching my friends do it.. and i know, not only was i not as aware of my surroundings, it is obvious in my high friends as well

Like i said if getting high didn't impair you in some way, there would be no reason to smoke it..and if you're going to be stupid enough to sit here and tell me it doesn't affect your mental state and motor skills, then try being the sober person in the room when a bunch of guys get high and giggle at something that isn't even funny and then try to get up off the couch to go to the bathroom and almost fall on their face while giggling the first time they stand up..
