Alright, I usually don't race but this was just too funny.
Once upon a time in mexico..........
Alright you all know I drive a 2006 Cobalt SS/SC. I was coming back from lunch with a friend and I let him drive my car for ***** and giggles. (BTW he drives that monster C6 Vette I have posted pics and the video of.) On the way back he is just kinda driving around getting a feel for the car. We start to head back to his place to finish working on the vette when an Integra Type R and an Evo 8 appear. We get behind them and just kinda follow them. The Evo of course spools up and passes us and stops next to the Integra. Probably his friend and told him to race us. Well we are next to each other at the light and the Integra revs and hits VTEC. I tell my friend, "smoke 'em" and he kinda just does a little burn out in 1st and lets it whine. Well fast forward 5 minutes later and the Integra starts weaving through traffic and eventually passes us, and gets in front of us. We follow and end up turning onto a pretty straight road. Keep in mind the Integra is probably 3-4 car lengths in front of us and he guns it. My friend guns my car, spins practically all through first, half of second, and catches the last half of second and into third as we pass this Integra. I am dying laughing because we reeled him in and pretty much raped him. After we let off the Integra just guns it again and leaves in defeat. Keep in mind neither of this **** happens when I ever drive my car, or when my friend drives his Vette. I get to drive the Vette this weekend, so maybe another kill story. LOLOLOLOL

Awesome. The guy in the acura probably didn't expect that. The same thing happens to me, except when I drive my '91Cavalier Z24. Very rarely do people challenge me in my Balt TC. Maybe because the Cavalier is straight piped...

Same! My GF finds more races than me and has been picked on a bit by faster cars (She only drives a Pursuit), kinda weird how it happens. I have a fair commute to work everyday on the highway and have not found a good opponent yet (Other than the STI). All I usually get is riced out Hondas that are not even cracking 200HP. Same situation as OP, beat them a couple of times then they gun it and do a ricer flyby...........not sure what they're trying to prove.

Its always when I'm with my gf, whether its her driving or me driver her car o always see **** haha but like you, I have a good commute to work and back, a good 15 miles of highway and 5-10miles of a 2lane back road and nothing lol nothing ever pops up

 

I seen it as well and was like I am on a stock GM stage 2 pulley and I can burn 1st ok and then chip second but it still grabs quite well in second. Must be bald as hell.
