IDK man, automatic is only good for one thing and one thing only, convenience. Sure it has the upper hand for 1/4 mile racing the more horsepower you have but for real driving, ripping through gears, rev-matching before a turn...you cannot beat the fun factor of manual. And racing manual gives the advantage to the better driver to make things more interesting.

if i was closer i would run your buddy's gto. even mildly modded. i saw a guy who had intake/exhaust on a 5.7 gto (automatic) and his best pass was 13.2 (at my local track)
i actually saw his runs. he was hooking up pretty good. i wanna say he was trapping around 103. he was running DR's. i would take a chance on racing that.

Where is this gto from? And what color, I'm trying to figure out if I know of him. There aren't a ton of stock ones left, but my cousins friend recently picked up an orange one, ever since he has been trying to run my cousins lightning.

Isn't your sig a picture of your car at atco? And on the video you posted of your car, you have numbers on the car. If you don't want to announce your times to everyone that's fine, shoot me a pm. Do you have dyno numbers too?
Edit: oh I see what you mean, about racing for money and what not. I'm not trying to throw your numbers out for everyone to see. I was just wondering how close your car is to mine.

lol. i bet all the guys in my area, hell all the guys in anybody's area could beat all your guys. jersey is lame. kansas is lame too but topeka has cars thatl rape you and all your friends.
you'd be surprised jersey has some fast cars just normally people arent racing them around the streets we normally leave that to the stupid kids. the people with fast cars take them to the track
same happens here. except we have the room in kansas to street race too. not a lot of ppl plus tons of straight open roads. we have guys running around with turbo ls1 fbodies and kb cobras. theres also a TT cobra somewhere in this state. im never over there tho si idk whos all there. i just hear about it a lot. the OP would go broke over here. he can spray his nawzzz and then a turbo ls1 trans am can rape him off the bottle, or spray for freight trains.

hes just going to say "ya well an automatic can shift faster than any person ever could" which is a true statement. yet it doesnt make it any less gay. sorry but if im going for the fastest time at a drag race, yes automatic would work, but its no fun. all cars should be a stick so the driver mod is involved. in this case tho, a auto z28 is slower than the m/t one. his cars slow, i dont consider nawz a real mod, as it just means you cant afford a blower or turbo set up.
